The Wild meet the Avalanche for the 4th time this season in Denver, at the Pepsi Center.

[NHL]765192[/NHL]

Season series: The Minnesota Wild have shut out the Colorado Avalanche in each of their three games in 2014-15. Darcy Kuemper had back-to-back shutouts in the first two games of the season for each team, and Devan Dubnyk blanked the Avalanche at Xcel Energy Center three weeks ago. Wild forward Zach Parise leads all scorers with four points (two goals, two assists).

Wild team scope: Minnesota did not practice Friday after defeating the Nashville Predators 4-2 on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena, the fourth regulation loss at home for Nashville this season. The Wild placed forward Stephane Veilleux on waivers, opening up a second roster spot if needed. Veilleux has one goal and one assist in 12 games with Minnesota this season, but he was a healthy scratch Thursday after the team traded for Sean Bergenheim. With the NHL Trade Deadline approaching on Monday, the Wild have two open spots on their roster, allowing them a little more freedom.

Avalanche team scope: Colorado overcame a 3-1 third-period deficit in a 5-4 shootout win against the Dallas Stars on Friday at American Airlines Center. Ryan O'Reilly scored the only goal in the shootout and goaltender Semyon Varlamov was perfect in the tiebreaker. Varlamov has started each of Colorado's 13 games since the All-Star break, including back-to-back games earlier this month, and is the likely starter on Saturday. Varlamov is 0-3-0 against the Wild this season with a 3.10 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage in those games.

Ah that game 7 OT goal will never get old. Duchene memorized by the All Star, completely disregarding his man Brodziak. All Star to Brodziak to Nino, *ping* game winner, series over.

Man, would be great to win this one and put some space between us and 9th.

Any way to watch the game without cable?

I know streaming sites but the quality is so bad when connected to the TV.

I'm trying to resist paying for cable. I would use it for Wild games and nothing else.

Bar is always an option ;)

Haha that is the usual plan.

But I'm just having a little family get together over at my place.

Can't imagine hanging with these people all night without some Wild to break up the "How have you been", "Whats new these days", "Hows work" talk haha.

Haha great point. I know there are ways to make Gamecenter work and avoid the blackouts...never tried it personally and I wouldn't have any idea how to get it started but I do know people have had success doing it before.

Boys better show up to this one and put a nail in the playoff coffin for the Avs.

Maybe someone will punch Landeskog too. That would be nice.

Need more Webber beatings on that *******.

Really hope they shut them out again. I want that team to be so demoralized from what they were last year even more.

I don't understand why they do 8PM starts in Denver. Any particular reason?
[mod]
Edit: Real answer: might have something to do with not wanting a complete overlap with the DU game?

Russo briefly mentioned on twitter that they're doing the 8 PM local start since they played in Dallas last night I guess? Not really sure why that constitutes a later start though.

I don't plan on being so demoralized if we lose. It just means the Avs will get to pick in the top 10 again and possibly get a stud defensive prospect. Bring it on.

But that's the question will they chose a defensemen? Somewhat of serious question.
