Lets shoot for the moon!

If the Jets win out we will tie the NHL record for regular season points by a team with the Bruins at 135

That will also see us oblitherate the record for win streak (17) with 34.

It's doable, right?

I love the attitude, bro. :)

Helly with a chance at beating the most wins in a season as well, unreal.
I wonder if the Jets will let him try for it if he gets close. I always hear "gotta keep him fresh for the playoffs, he tires out come playoff time" which i think is bullshit and Hellebuyck himself has said as much. Personally i think 65 games in or around is fine for/with him. Here is a block of regular season games played by Brodeur in his prime:

Two Stanley Cups sprinkled in there with 20+ games played in the playoffs. Im not worried about Helle bring tired after 65 games.

Just listening to nhl radio on sirus.
They were belly aching about Lowry fighting someone after a clean hit.
To me it wasn’t so much about that one hit in a vacuum.
More so after “the clean hit” on Scheifele.
Lowry was down with the sens running around like hooligans.
Yes, Lowry's destruction of young Klevon (sic..Klingon, Klurbonne, Kleven) was preciptated by the sum of aggression first manifest on the knee-flinger on Schuffles.

The team was also playing sluggish dogshit hockey. It was a call to wake up and the Jets responded to their captain.

It was a clean hit, but it was also Ottawa running a player for the second time. Lowry set them back on their heels.

Lowry can go toe to toe with anyone in the league.
I loved the sneaky first punch.
His left which he reached out to grab the jersey was actually a punch to the face, then he grabbed the jersey and started chucking bombs.
The way the Sens player wilted was beautiful.

I called for the 2nd line (Perfetti in particular) to get back on the pts train and he came through big time.
Now I'm gonna call on Nino to find the net.
62 needs to score a bit more often.
He's capable of more.
Oct & Nov he totalled 9 goals.
Dec to now he only has 5.

2 goal game incoming!

only time we've lost to nashville this season was also on the tail end of a B2B with Comrie in net. However thats back in oct/nov when we started playing like doodoo for a few weeks. Comrie has better confidence now, and the boys are more confident in him. Hopefully we can run a tight ship.

Mid day poetry break, gather round for your sonnet infusion.

Sweet Scotty, crunch thy numbers; be it not said
Thy Viking and Perfecto shunted for playing well tight,
Aye the fourth line will brings hell – pucks sent to bed,
Today sharpen'd to even better might:
So to proper second lines, let fly; yo, lets fill
Thine Preds net till Juuse bursts into tears,
And Josi and Skjei weep again, and aye lets kill
The playful kitten spirit with goals and beers.
Let thine mighty Lurch flow like a molten maddened sea
Which parts the shore, where Shuffles blasts anew
Come befuddle Forsberg and Stamkos, with greased thick KFC
Helly engage thy glove, stop flown pucks in thy cue;
Call these chaps winners, which being full of care
Makes points gathered welcome thrice more wish'd, more rare.

Jinx post is jinx.

I really hope the Jets aren't thinking that way. You can start seeing their immortality complex starting to impact their play.

I thought the ice was atrocious last night but you have to play the hand that you're dealt and the Jets were way too cute and casual at times. If the goaltending was reversed we wouldn't have won that game.

I'd like to see the guys get back into their disciplined game again.

I have liked how our 1st line has defended "better" this season but the last three games since the break I have seen some old bad habits creeping back in (trading chances). They have obviously been getting their points but they have been a hot mess at times defending,

Thinking the 2 week break has a little to do with that but i think they will get it back.:thumbu:

The way Hellebuyck plays he doesn't getting tired and can handle the workload. He is not a flopping goalie ... he plays the angles and knows how to read plays. Like he said once in an interview if I play it this way I can stop the puck 100% or if the play goes this way I have a 75% of stopping it. That's one of the reasons why he makes saves look so easy and when he reads it wrong it looks like a bad goal.
Also it just not Helle you have to give credit to the D and team play which makes it easier for him too.
Last year's playoff lost to the Avs have put this team on a mission ... they their learned a lesson and no way its happening again this year.
