Deslauriers loves taking on the toughest guys in the league. He has 9 fighting majors on the season. Milan Lucic 2x, Kurtis MacDermid 2x, Jamie Oleksiak, Jacob Middleton, Jordan Greenway, Liam O'Brien 2x, Givanni Smith.

Deslauriers and Reaves have history. They had a good tussle last season. Reaves should have this one circled on the calendar already.

Reaves has not been good in my opinion in the fighting department. I thought he would have more fights by now. He has not set the tone when needed saying being down 2-0 at home to use an example, a fight usually wakes up the home crowd.

He averages 2-3 fights a year. Nobody wants to fight him.

Last couple of years he's been less active. He's big on not taking penalties and putting his club down a man. Sometimes maybe too much. He is excellent at throwing the big hits.

Since he's been here, were not seeing other clubs taking runs like they used to. I mean, Henrik used to get run over every other game. Guys would stand around and look at the Zebras when it would happen. It boiled over after the Wilson incident. This year has been different. Trouba is very active. Hes played more physical then he ever has in the past. That's likely the Reaves effect. The Rangers still have a Subban problem. They will have a Marchand problem if they face them in the playoffs. Those guys are different. They are cheapshot artists that like to agitate. They are effective cause they do it against other clubs better players. Rangers don't have a guy in the top 6 out there when they are on the ice. Trouba sort of became that guy. Reaves cant really do anything against those guys. He even said it in an interview when Slewban was brought up. The days of a guy like Adam Graves taking matters into his own hands and pummeling Lemieux. I do think Reaves could have been more active when the team needed a spark, down a goal or two.

Tonight i do think these two will have a go.

Kreider has been that guy to stick up for teammates. remember Eakin ran Lundqvist. One reason I want Goodrow in the top 6 in the playoffs. He would add a physical element to any line he is on. Personally id try Panarin Goodrow Strome… Kreider and Marchand would be a good fight fun to watch between skilled players. As much as some hate Marchand he is entertaining when he is not going overboard.

Does anybody know how it's possible to run into these guys postgame? I remember going last year in April, obviously, it being different times, and they came out of the side of MSG one by one.

Unless he gets healthy scratched again.
 
these past couple days felt like weeks off.

Hopefully another offensive outbreak but this time, with supporting xG dominance, so everyone is happy.

Don't let the Anaheims kids play their skill game. Hit them hard and hit them often.

Love to see the same intensity/urgency from last game

Not really, one is heading to Colorado, another is flying back to Anaheim to be re-evaluated, one may be going to Toronto, another may be flying to Boston, and one may be staying and flying in circles around NYC.
