Sutter on Pearson, Vey & Toffoli drawing into tonight's lineup:

“They’ve got to give us something on one of those lines,” Darryl Sutter said. “If they don’t, then there’s two good guys that don’t get to play tonight that’ll play tomorrow. “It’s not hard to figure out.”

Can you say short leash? The man totally perplexes me at times with the way he treats his rookies. One mistake and they won't see the ice for a month, yet the vets on the bottom six can suck game after game and continue to play.

Not sure what's so hard to understand.....rookies have to prove their worth. Usually, the veterans have already done that at some point in their career. This team doesn't have time to nurture a bunch of kids at this point in the season....play well or your sitting on the bench, or playing back in the AHL. Sounds good to me.
