Dang. For a second there I thought it was 715am NY time.
This “Frozen Frenzy” is a good idea anyhow. Stagger the games so fans can watch more hockey.

I like the idea. Only issue one game tonight and Wed. But that’s fine.

Gustav Forsling is 6'1 199 and Zac Jones is 5'11 190. Is it really that huge of a difference? Does everyone on defense have to be 6'3?

Ruhwedel is about 5'11 190 too. I think Laviolette just wants to play him now and again and someone's coming out to make that happen and barring any more injures that someone will either be Mancini or Jones..........and then Lindgren's coming back. I kind of suspect Jones will be back in tonight but Ruhwedel had a good game the other night. I think sometimes people get so invested in a particular player that they tend to be negative towards others who they perceive stand in their way. I don't have any complaints so far with Jones. He's been pretty solid but so far anyway I do like Mancini more. I suspected when he signed late last year that he would do well but his well has almost been shockingly well. The size, the skating, the defensive game, hockey IQ and moving the puck pretty damn well.....it's all there. He's an NHL player whether he goes down to the Pack or not. He does come from a family of seriously good coaches. Maybe that's it but he's been fantastic. Also all other things being equal between one player and another the bigger a player is the better.

I get feeling Mancini may get put on a pitch count this year more than they did to Schneider. Braden looked great out the gate his first year then fizzled hard where the mental and physical grind caught up.

I think we'd be less wrapped around the axle if we just knew what the plan was to spell guys like Lindgren and the bottom pair every now and again. However we know that Trouba can throw an absolute stinker out there and Mancini would get scratched. It's like the Rangers right of passage to aimlessly scratch young players.

The NHL staggering these start times only for no one to watch because it's NBA Opening Night is par for the course. Love this sport, hate this league. Of course the Knicks and Rangers play at the same time.

Anyway, I'd be very shocked if Laffy doesnt play in his hometown. Team looks really good, hope to keep it rolling.
