The reality of pro sports is that honeymoon's are short. Andlauer learned that with the QC fiasco, and if this team completely falls out of it before the deadline, Staios will learn it quickly.

It feels worse because in previous years you could cling to the belief that it was Dorion, or DJ. "A couple shrewd moves and better coaching and we're there!"
This year it'll be painfully obvious that it's the core, and there's no quick fix. Only a couple of players with high trade value, lots of long-term salary on the books, very few good prospects on the horizon...

I would say Cousins was fine and liked his game.

Hired coach Green, who demands a style that kills everyone offensively (basically everyone having down year )not only is it not winning hockey it’s very boring to watch.

I have no idea either. He's terrible on the radio and he takes more vacations than a politician.

The absolute bare minimum band-aid solution to try and generate offense was calling up Crookshank instead of Highmore, and he's only just gotten around to it.
Edited to add: the offensive woes started months ago, not just due to recent injuries
The truth is that most of those guys don't give a shit. They're just here to collect a paycheck and they have no pride in wearing the Sens jersey it means nothing to them. Alfie, Spezza, Neil, Phillips, all those guys had pride playing for the Sens. We need to get the pride back. This team is 4 steps forward and 6 steps back.

That's exactly it...and it's not bad reasoning. I think management is aware that Ullmark may be an injury problem going forward, and they couldn't take the risk of losing an NHL level goaltender (even if Forsberg is barely NHL quality).
Perron and Amadio have contributed a total of 6 goals and 18 points in 68 games. And they make a combined $6.6M.
