Puck drop scheduled for 8:52 local time...on a Wednesday. Another banner decision from the "brains" at the NHL.

Need another win tonight against a non-playoff team. Need to capitalize on their chances when they dominate and not let these garbage teams hang around, giving the refs an option to 'make it interesting'.

There needs to be more talk in the media about empty net goals when they are comparing players totals and talking about year end awards based on goals, with no context supplied. OV, Kapri and Rantanen have scored 25% of their goals into the vacant cage, just stupidly high numbers. A whole bunch more in the 15-24% range.

I would join in on this argument but the Oilers make scoring on empty nets seem impossible. I’m at a point now where scoring an empty netter for the Oilers is more impressive
