I wonder what a guy like Laviolette thinks/does. I know Trotz was happy to take advantage of it...guess he was desperate after never getting anywhere in the playoffs for so long. But maybe Laviolette is more of a man about it. Unlikely, but we can hope.

Honest question, the NHL has had so many Wilsons over the years why don't goons and 4th liners end their careers? It would be WELL deserved. The Wilsons, Cookes, and Marchmants of the world are one shift away from ending someone's career or worse. These guys deserve to have a career ending knee injury or concussion.

Miller getting shoved to the side by hathaway like a little boy was absolutely brutal. Its about the game within the game, and this is one we consistently lose against these types of hockey clubs. Many moves to be made over the summer. The skill is here, now it must be augmented, diversified, and ultimately molded into a cohesive battle hardened unit that does not take shit. See: 1994 NYR.

Miller is a college guy. College guys play 30-40 games in an entire season. Two games a week. Sometimes one. Sometimes no games in the week. Almost always on weekends. It's tough stepping directly from the college ranks to the pros. Guys often hit a wall, physically and mentally. Miller has hit it. He started off great, hit some bumps, picked it up, then fell off precipitously. It's not for lack of ability. Cut him some slack, he wasn't even supposed to be on the team, let alone playing 20 minutes per night.
