It could still make a difference and better chance at winning the lottery. a single spot in the draft order could be the difference in being able to draft the player you want.

Is it a bad draft though? Yes, for top end talent, possibly... but for what we need? It's all you can eat. Limited scouting could give us some gems in the first 3 rounds

People worrying about pick selection are the same ones that probably want the softest, finesse team in the game. Eventually you have to start caring about playoffs. Hopefully Gorton and Davidson wake up.

Miller needs A LOT of work defensively. He has a lot of raw ability, but he stills looks green at the defensive position. Just way too many questionable decisions with the puck at times.

I’ll never be able to root for the guys to lose. I suppose if they play great and still lose I can stomach it.

Just don’t have enough faith in this team’s ability to draft and develop players.

I rooted for us to lose in the play in last year for this very reason. I mean it’s not a 12.5% chance of winning the lottery this time, but if you’re not in first, you’re in last, and we have a chance to further build the foundatiom of this team and possibly get a better player by being a spot or two higher.

The difference is tiny and there's no great prospect out there going for #1, your position is indefensible.

A lot of raw potential and upside. He's a good prospect that hasn't 'made it' yet.

I've no doubt he should have been in the AHL this season, but we didn't have the depth for it.

Take a look at large defensemen- they usually take a while to develop.

It doesn't help that some of the louder posters here don't care for him.
