The knocked down with a high stick rule is so frustrating sometimes. I get the rule, player safety, but when no one is even close and a player bats it down, it’s annoying.

Depending upon how you like your skates ground...goalies can have a huge advantage in a fight...I used to use hollow ground blades, I had unreal leverage on the ice, used to knock over much bigger players behind the net all the time...they would go down, I didn't.

All the gear does make it harder to get in good quick shots, but once you muckle onto someone, they are usually toast pretty quick.
