That's 15 right there that Zibanejad doesn't even have a case against. 16 if you count Draisaitl who is a part-time center. Then there are a few more that could be debated.

We've convinced ourselves he's a franchise center because that's what we want. He's still in the lower end of 1C's which is what he always was. And games like these make me think a play-driving center is what's missing. Not necessarily a franchise center because that's hard to find, but a matchup center who carries play at even strength. All of our centers are bad at doing the things centers do. That's not entirely on Zibanejad but we might need his cap space to add that player.

its hard to develop an identity when the coach doesn’t have one. And if he does then the team, namely the veterans have tuned him out and are doing whatever they want. The team is literally the definition of pond hockey when it comes to forechecking and breakouts.

I’m not really sure what identity we’d have with a different coach either. We have skill players who struggle against top teams, young kids, and a handful of AAAA players we are counting on to continuously overachieve.

I think we are not difficult to play against. Nor do I think we are built that way.

We have to remove DQ’s crutches. You are not turning a game around by moving Howden, PDG or Blackwell up.

We need more “get your ass up, we got work to do” uncles for these Boy Scouts and not the “fun” or “chill” uncles.

I have my issues with Quinn just like the rest of you but I’d say there’s almost no chance that he gets fired this year. We’re basically where management had us pinned before the season started I imagine. Aside from the coach, why the hell have we never addressed our face off issues. I feel like it’s been over a decade since we had someone who’s actually good at them, yet management refuses to address this issue.

Yeah, our skill players aren't exactly young either. I wouldn't count on them figuring that part out. The hope is in the kids (and Fox) to over take the vets in a few years.
