i'd be surprised if we came back here. particularly if Trouba is out, who is eating those minutes. I'd be dissappointed if someone doesn't run one of the Isles.

Yep some bumpy pucks notwithstanding. But the Rangers have struggled, no real coherent play. Typical game for a team that's not used to the tempo. Should come out better for the next period.

Team plays a timing-based puck possession game. If it's out of whack, it's ugly, looking like they're playing hot potato

Against a trash team like the Devils, you can ice Tanner Glass and you'd be fine. In this game, playing Bitetto, playing Rooney and Howden over Gauthier, all of these things will add up. That Kreider line is a mess. The Howden line is terrible except for Crab trying to make offensive plays.

Quinn and the Rangers look like an All star team against the Devils but snap back to reality, college coach and a middling team.
Agreed. Gauthier brings size and speed.

correct. the devils gave up on this season and invested in the future. its why those comebacks are so concerning. you can’t treat the games against the devils as indicative of the quality of our team. quinn doesn’t get that not all teams are equal, and beating down on one of the worst teams in the league doesn’t mean you can beat the best.

we’ve thrown more hits than them since trouba went down

swear to god you buffoons make this up

Do you really think we are a more physical team than the Islanders? My post was saying we need to play our game to beat them, not their game.

The team has holes but is not middling. The coach is garbage. 3...2...1 on the Quinn jock sniffers.

Yeah it's not like the Rangers prior to the Devils took 3 out of 4 points off of one of the best teams in the league.

I mean after winning 4 straight against practically an AHL squad and gaining 0 ground, did anyone really still think this team was likely to make it in anyway?

This game is like a playoff game, considering how the team played in the play in round last year, anyone else surprised our clown of a coach doesn't have them prepared?

They are playing men now, not NJ kids. The Isles are doing a good job clogging things up to mess up the timings. But mostly the Rangers need to wake up and compete.

Over the last three years, they're 4th in hits and we're 8th in hits. So, technically no, but it's not that big of a deal.

We keep harping on this physicality narrative because we just can't f***ing accept that most teams are better than us right now.
