I really like what Blackwell has done. But I just don’t wanna see him out there in certain situations. That’s when it becomes a crutch and I prefer to play the long game with the role he sometimes finds himself occupying.

I think KK has improved tremendously from last year. The points will come as he gets more ice time and PP time. He may even PK as he gets older and in better shape. He’s hard on the puck and has great skill. Only 20.

My mindset is that it doesn’t even have to be a revolution at this time. It’s modest tweaks. Deploying the kid line in beneficial situations (after certain whistles, etc.), giving them powerplay time, even together. Things of that nature.

It starts with Strome on the top PP. After that there are no good alternatives.
