I really wanna see Laf, Kakko Kravtsov in the top 9. I don’t really wanna see them on the fourth right now.

Seems relegating Blackwell is the obvious short term solution there.

Then later who knows if Buch stays or goes this offseason

It's a double edged sword. While I think Quinn's coaching has limited Kakko with his offense, his defensive game has improved so much that he's doing something right. I mean Kakko has created that out of nothing, he basically did not defend before the draft. Worse than Laine, and I mean it. And it was pretty bad last year wasn't it.

Honestly, I have no idea what you are talking about. ;)

Kakko if anything has always been a complete player that has been responsible two ways. He has been a force in multiple international tournaments etc.

Sure, he had issues his rookie season, but come on, so much of that was just about him taking water over his head some shifts, trying to much or ending up gassed late in shifts etc.

He has played as a pro in Finland for two years before he came over.

I didn’t even think about the powerplay, and admitted as such. Honest mistake.

Simmer down.
Not you specifically but there's a rather vocal minority who seem to watch games for any sign a kid might be demoted.

There's a lot to unpack from this game and even if someone got demoted, that wouldn't make the top 10.

I'm sorry too brother.

Laf just said he wants to work on his skating/skating with the puck. He knows what he needs to do. He’s going to be fine.
I’d say skating, his wind. The rest he has off the charts. IQ. Shot passing.

Laf pretty much sums it up

My mindset is that it doesn’t even have to be a revolution at this time. It’s modest tweaks. Deploying the kid line in beneficial situations (after certain whistles, etc.), giving them powerplay time, even together. Things of that nature.

He played as a pro for one year. I watched him live.

He wasn't good at the overall game. He wasn't committed to defense, but it was ok, because he brought so much to the offense. Glad to see that has changed, and it shows how committed he is to become a great player. They focus on improving their flaws.

Imagine how much of a monster he'll be in a few years?

Yeah, but I wanna see him on the PP much sooner rather than later.

I am seriously worried about that. He has been very very little involved in that type of hockey for two full years now.

I have nothing personal against DQ or some need to crap on a coach just because we suck. But our total lack of plan to develop these kids worries me a lot.

And my guess is, Kakko also realizes the same as Laf: skating. That's the #1 priority next summer.
