Team has a real scoring problem (what a shock, right?).

All season, really, but it's definitely reared it's head the last couple games.

Really since Christmas they've been struggling, though it was masked by two 5-3 wins over Carolina and Florida.

They struggled against Minnesota despite scoring 3, they got two quick ones against the Devils and then struggled for 2 periods to get anything else. Etc.

Even after reading through the bottomless negativity of the Habs PGT, I still have a feeling that the team responds after a tough loss with a good effort tonight. Enough of a feeling to pick the Rangers in the NHL Survivor pool? Well, no, but still a feeling nonetheless.

Columbus is just one of those teams were you hate watching a road game. Trash team with the nerve to still use a cannon when they score

Halak will be in. I expect to be chasing this game early

How about they start winning more consistently for the schmucks who pay top dollar to watch them in person.

Why not win both games against bottom feeders?

I don't think we'd all be so pissed at these losses if:

- The kids did literally f***ing anything (not counting Miller or Schneider)
- We didn't have this gargantuan canyon between when we're good and bad

If we were actually good at even-strength would be nice too.

We just fundamentally do not understand how to score. I get it. Royal Road, 'chances of scoring' doubles. Forcing it is not the play.

You need to make the defense breakdown their structure with movement/confusion/shooting. You need to OPEN the lanes in the Royal Road. Standing still on the perimeter is the literal worst thing for opening lanes. Then the other part is low-to-high, with minimal presence in the middle or incapable of getting the puck through. We suck at both aspects or do not understand how to execute them

We're just either the dumbest team in the NHL and/or not coachable -or- the fine details/fundamentals are not being properly implemented by the coaching staff.

Going to the game tonight. Hoping they bounce back and play a good game against these tankers.
