Messier is still the most hated man in Vancouver 20+ years after he played in that city. Most of that hate justified too.

The fact everyone drools over his leadership prowess shows how f***ing stupid hockey men/culture can be.

I didn’t know any of that Messier stuff. I just saw an over-the-top leader. I have no idea what he’s like off the ice, but I like his commentary

Anyone who religiously elbows guys in the face and picks fights with guys like Jason Blake when they’re twice his size is definitely a prick.
 
Zacha could've/should've killed Tkachuk there. Instead, extended Meow Mix zone time.

Dirty prick Messier was. But it's okay because he's a leader or whatever the f***
