GDT: Game 44: OUR LOVABLE SEATTLE KRAKEN (18-22-3) at some other person's Detroit Red Wings (19-18-4) - noon PST

Watched the Kraken take apart the Sabres yesterday after going down 2-0...hopefully they have some goals left in them and get to Talbot cause he's no Star

Zero physicality. Zero defensive zone commitment. This looked like pond hockey, where the Kraken were hoping to switch ends after every five goals.
Five goals against on 13 shots. An embarrassing showing for professionals.
If this game doesn’t lead to changes then nothing is going to, and we’ll just get more offerings in the Team Store.

I think the thing that surprises me the most about the 2024-25 version of the Kraken is the lack of Chemistry and love for the game and each other...what happened to the guys that played with their hearts...seems lacking

Could this be a double digit loss...where's Don McLeod?

I loved Smokie McLeod.

Have we ever had a quieter GDT? I get that it’s a Sunday afternoon game, and one they were out of quickly, but this is a bad omen for a Kraken team trying to keep fans, both here and at Climate Pledge, invested. Apathy can kill a franchise,

I loved Smokie McLeod.
Smokie use to get hung out to dry with the Dead things...only when the WHA Houston Aeros came a knocking did he enjoy success...of course the Soviets(Russians) used him as "Target" practice...poor Smokie...I remember him a bit when he played for the home town WHA Calgary Cowboys the transplanted Vancouver Blazers-Philly Blazers and Miami Screaming Eagles I believe

I saw him play. In warmups he could absolutely fire the puck down ice.
I remember one game against the Maple Laughs he started got pulled after many goals and then was reinserted cause the other guy let in a bunch of goals...I think Smokie's GAA that year was 5.17 or something like that

I fear Bylsma is gonzo but maybe some of the players should be but are either hard to move or aren't worth a hill of beans at this point...I bet some if moved to the right teams would become "Stars" yet again or at least better than they've shown

If the Kraken are bad...the consolation prize could be a top flight Dman in the draft not that it makes all of us feel warm and fuzzy...sorry to say

You expect them to talk about Gru’s poor play? They’ve been hyping him up for 4 years.
I think Johhny Forslund likes the German Gentleman as a person but Sports can really be cut throat...in Gru's case he has looked really good sometimes just not enough to satisfy everyone all the time
