Don't know what happened. But at some point when Laval was on the road, he went back to Montreal for further evaluations. Last medical update, they had him as still being evaluated.

And Laval was dominant in the 1st period. Cleveland's goalie made some nice saves.

The second period is some ugly hockey. Both teams missing their passes. A whole lot of giveaways.

First period was open and more fluid. Second is the complete opposite.

Huge save by the Cleveland goal on Beauregard and Francis on a 2-on-1. Both guys got off great shots and the goalie made a highlight reel save.

Their first wave includes Trudeau, Richard, Teasdale, Abbandonato. All productive players. And you can see them move the puck around well.
Their 2nd wave? They have guys like Schnarr, Dube, and Gignac. And you can see why these guys are not on the PP when the line-up isn't as decimated.
