Hot garbage meets other hot garbage. Both on 3 game skids. On a plus note, if ever there was a team who could jump start our lifeless powerplay, it's the Isles.

I won't see much of the game because of the earlier start time but maybe that is a good thing. At least I am retired now and don't have to go to work and listen to the Leafs fans tomorrow. They can gloat among themselves, I sure they are disappointed that I am not there for it!

These always seem to be very boring games, but go get two points Bruins!

But you had to always have the last laugh. I mean their Leafs fans. Bruins have won all seven playoff meetings since expansion of the league began in 1967, and none better than 2013.

Oh yes, there were many beautiful days for me - this one was the very best. I love this memory, second to 2011.

On paper the D should be good. Carlo and McAvoy have to start playing better.
MCavoy seems to be stuck in his playoff mode which he has sucked in for awhile,I don’t get what the hell is wrong with Carlo ,Z just is slow and really doesn’t seem to have much hockey sense, does throw some big hits once in awhile would have liked to have seen one against Matthews,I guess maybe he couldn’t catch him.

At the halfway point, plus/minus top and bottom:

Koepke +10
McAvoy +7
Zadorov +6

Pasta -7
Frederic -11
Lohrei -12

Pasta is newly arrived at the bottom end due to is -4 last night. But his overall play in the first half makes him worthy of his spot.

Freddy escaped the last place spot he's held so long with some pretty good games recently. Though it really hasn't helped the team win at all.

Lohrei was at the bottom for a game or two earlier but rebounded. Maybe he can rebound again.

McAvoy & Zadorov, despite last night's terrible showing, have been a steady pairing since being put together a while ago. Charlie was a solid minus player prior to that and has steadily moved up since.

Koepke? Plays hard, plays smart. Consequentially, he's at the top for this team. Very early on the 4th line, with Kastelic & Beecher, jumped way out in front of the money-makers with some inspired play. They were broken up in hopes of helping out some other lines, but only Koepke maintained his high rating. Kastelic is still a +4, Beecher a +1. But with virtually no offensive production, its tough to keep a high +/- for a forward. Certainly, there is some luck involved for Koepke to be at the top of chart. But doesn't hard work and smarts make for good fortune?

Just curious is the thread today being dedicating to everyone saying McAvoy sucks? And what a stud Lohrei he is?

Oh and is Pasta only hurt when he's a no show?

I think Freddy has been beaten to death so hopefully McAvoy can take some pressure off him today.

Carlo needs to be on a new team.

Everyone will hate any McAvoy trade so why bother. Just get a 2rd that you can give some pp time that pushes him.

I'd do what we did in 2010 and trade the deadwood for picks and cap space. Play the kids and improve the roster in the summer. We can still finish 8 and make a run.

I see one post in this thread where someone says McAvoy sucks.

Don't see any saying Lohrei is a stud.

We’ve played half the season and the only player that has rebounded from a horrid start is Geekie.
They need a win tonight to at least get some good vibes going before the gauntlet of EDM-TBL-FLA-TBL

I don't think it matters who is the goalie, who plays D with whomever or what the forward lines are. The whole team basically sucks and are lucky if they can beat anyone.

Too many so called high paid stars, no cap space and really not much to offer in trades. We need a real finisher or two and have no way to really acquire anyone.

Frederick and Carlo may get you something but not what is really needed. Who is going to give you a real scorer for 2 people who should be sitting in the stands based on their play
