While we are on this heater.....I want to discuss the next games early!

The team has a few days to rest...finally.

Time to travel to Washington to face Ovechkin and his Capitals.

First let's start strong here with our boy Lane? He is steamrolling towards the Calder. Playing like our best damn player as a rookie. Rejoice I tell ya. Rejoice!

If Laine can't play I'd call up Owen Beck and put him in Heineman's spot, and then put Heineman on Dach's wing. I'm curious to see how Beck looks in the NHL and from reading the Laval threads it sounds like he's the straw that stirs the drink on a lot of nights.

Hopefully Laine is back for this one. Our PP is so much more dangerous with him in, and our 2nd line becomes a much greater threat.

If he's not, I hope we call someone up from Laval. I'm not sure it makes sense to dress Pezzetta for only a few minutes of play like last game.

I want Ovechkin to break the Gretzky's record... For beauty of the sport.

Ovechkin scored a lot of goals against the Canadiens.

I''m really focused on our defence for this game.

We play 3 games against Ottawa before the end of the year, so our faith might be in our hands.

Probably.
I wanted Dobes last night but my reasoning was faulty given how Guhle set the tone.
The team started with an edge regardless of who was between the pipes.

There should be a few practices before now and then but Washington is definitely a team I'd want the bigger athlete facing.

I think they might only have 1 practice this week. Today was an off day. They have a practice tomorrow, but the next game is in Washington, so Thursday is probably a travel day and they will just have the morning skate before the game Friday next.
