Smith is in officially in the dog house.

Wasn't too long ago when it was Kindl. Smith needs the time in. This is his first real season up. He clearly has the goods. The number of times when this board went crazy over E's stupidity compared to Smith is not even close.

Wish Babcock and company would give the kid some time. He's playing on a depleted d roster. If someone really deserves to be in the doghouse, it's Kronwall. That guy has been forcing bad passes and they've been getting picked off. All. Damn. Season. And he's a vet, he should know better.

I am beginning to become annoyed by Babcock's coaching. This is the first year he has had me question his moves so I will give him another season before I start to advocate his removal.

Having dinner / drinks at 7, going to the casino at 10.

I have a feeling i'm going to come home without money (expected) or happiness (Red Wings). Best possible scenario...

Can the Wings beat the Hawks one time this season?

Well back in the 2008 season when we were the ones tearing up the league like the Hawks now, they beat us 5 times that year. So go figure. Why wouldn't we be able to beat them?

Their goalies play out of their mind vs us. But they must be overdue for a stinker. Let's be it tonight.

I'll admit to never coaching kids older than 12 year olds but Babcock's methods just seem wrong to me. Young players make mistakes and my fear is when you just scratch a guy or send him down to GR so quickly you destroy people's confidence and make them timid on the ice. I realize the guys get paid a lot. We didn't lose that game because of Brendan Smith. We lost because this TEAM has a lot of suckage night after night.

Wings finally pull it together after an outstanding 40save performance by Jimmy Howard. Wings win 3-2 in regulation securing a huge 2points
Goals: Datsyuk Franzen Nyquist

America's Hat.
I'll take a 3 point game for this one, Wings desperately need 2, but I'll accept the 1.

Wings have shown some brilliance towards Chicago, and SHOULD (imo) have beaten them twice this year.

Wings need a spark, or something... hopefully it comes tonight, an they can get Hot at the right time.

If Tootoo is playing I'd love to see one of his opening faceoff fights. Wings need to not only send a message to Chicago, but to themselves. Gotta have a lot of energy tonight.

Since this team can't be expected to score more than 2 goals.

2-1 Wings. Jimmy steals this one.

Oh and I have a major request. Now that Jimmy is our goalie for the next 6 seasons. WE NEED the Gif from Miracle where Jim Craig's Dad is cheering for him. Make it happen. During the USA/Russia games there's at least 3 or 4 shots of him going "Way to go Jimmy!" etc. We need this.

Tootoo in for Eaves :yo:

Sucks Smith is getting scratched now. I've noticed this season that he's pretty much lost his mean streak. Other than the game against Anaheim and maybe one or two more games, he hasn't been that physical offensive defenseman who can drop the gloves. Kind of dissapointed since that's what made him pretty unique, along with his skating.
