I wonder if MTL would move Kotkaniemi with Suzuki blossoming. Kotkaniemi could be a ROR like player in a couple years.
Believe it or not lately it's been the other way around. Suzuki has really come down to earth while Kotkaniemi has been more visible. If MB ever screwed up a trade giving away Kotkaniemi Montreal would hang him in effigy.
I doubt they move him unless the return was very unique

Our first line looks like our worst line right now. Buch is the only who even looks close to being on his game.
Doesn't Zibby usually play well against this team?

We have way too many 'softy' finesse players. Our top9 is littered with finesse playmakers. We're Disney on Ice. We need a better balance.

Yes, we like our talent but we need more pitbulls. This team will not win with this current forward group

That is the problem.

Mika when he’s on is elite. Panarin is a cornerstone. Kakko could be a beast but he is totally non physical. Lafreniere will hit a bit but he’s not what you’re talking about. Maybe he’ll grow into a more aggressive puck hound but I don’t know. Buch is feisty but not really imposing and everyone loves how he’s developed into a two way player and doesn’t wanna move him. Strome is producing like a mofo but is inadequate in every other area of the game (IMO). Kravtsov I haven’t seen enough of, but I doubt he’s the answer to our forecheck and balance issues, more of a skill player. Chytil again could be a beast physically but also doesn’t like to play physical at all. Kreider obviously has the exact toolset we’d want but he just doesn’t use it. Which one is anyone willing to give up on in order to achieve the balance that, honestly, we do need in order to compete in the post season? I have my opinions, but there won’t be a consensus. And there’s nothing wrong with any of these players. It’s the mix. To take the next step, we need elements that we don’t have even though we have a “full” top nine. I’ve made long off season posts about this before.

No one wants to give up any of “our” guys because they’re all good. But we have too many vegan options on the menu and not enough meat. At some point you have to take some good dishes off the menu, even though you love them, in order to balance it out.

I wanna take a second and thank you guys for getting me through all these games this year. My wife is amazing but couldn't care less and my good friends are all Sabres fans and gave up on life, I mean hockey lol. It's nice to have an outlet. Go Rangers.
