NEWS

- Laval terminates the contract of Émile Poirier.

- Stephens should be back in the line-up after serving his 2-game suspension.

I know he should be back in the lineup but after the great game they played 2 days ago, I wouldn't make any change tonight. Stephens is a good player but Nate Scharr have been pretty good these last 2 games.

This will also be the first time Laval plays against former captain Xavier Ouellet, as he signed with the Pens this past off-season.
Looking forward to finding out if Ouellet knows where the penalty box is. Seemed to be an issue for him when he was a Hab. Good times.

Anyone know why Barron is struggling so bad this year with his decision making? Seems really indecisive.
It's strange be cause he was good in the NHL for a 20 years old playing his first pro games. But yeah, 20 years old player are often inconsistent. I still think he's gonna be a very good player for us.

A former legend. It'll be strange to see him wearing another jersey than the Rocket.

Can we retire jersey numbers in the AHL? If yes he's one of the candidates for us!

Montreal
Aside from Ouellet, there is also former Hab Tokarski. And also former Hab prospect Sam Houde (who they never signed).

Wasn’t he still recovering from his ankle injury when training camp started? Probably wasn’t able to train fully this summer, I would think that it will take him a month or so to get up to speed

He also didn’t look great his first game with the Habs last year and kept getting better. Maybe he’s just a slow starter

Just tuned in. What was the sombre lighting about? Electricity bill too high?

Now no sound on the Laval feed.

FWIW, Laval has been surging late, now leading in shots.

PP goal in the 3rd to close the gap to one goal. Only 27 seconds left.

27-23 in shots for Laval. And so it ends, a 1-2 loss for Laval.
