This is seriously a big problem, because the Kids are not fast enough (yet) to make the transition themselfs from their own zone, and Hajek-Smith can't help them at all.

Kids line needs a guy like Fox to help them with transition. Once they have it in the O-zone, they are doing pretty well. It's an issue of getting them there.

I think we are moving to the direction of hockey where D has to be able to skate and join the attack like forwards. Colorado is the prototype, if they win the cup that will show the way. But imagine in that last shift if you had Fox their offering options of just giving the puck to him and he can take off from the line and skate it deep as well, forwards covering him. Now with Smith and Hajek, it's just forwards doing the work and those too sticking to the blue line.

Yeah, I've tried to underscore this point. Transition and mobile D is so important.
