Big Game Story: Los Angeles look to continue its push up the Western Conference standings on Saturday while the visiting Edmonton Oilers look to rebound from their first
defeat in six games. This is the 3rd and final meeting of the regular season, and teams have split a pair of games in Edmonton, the Oilers winning 2-1 on Jan. 24, and the
Kings responding for a 3-1 victory on Feb. 19. The KINGS need to remind the Oilers which team just won the Stanley Cup Championship. GO KINGS GO !!!

142352057_slide.jpg
Forward JUSTIN WILLIAMS said:
"Yeah, we OWNED them. Absolutely. We had a 3-1 lead in their building, let them come back and we had them on a back to back then, also, and we had them on a back-to-back tonight. We didn’t let them back in this game mostly from Bernier’s play, and we were able to get one."
Goalie JONATHAN BERNIER said:
"I guess I’ve got a pretty good record against Minnesota. I thought it was actually a pretty easy game for me. Guys did an awesome job in front of me blocking a lot of shots and clearing those pucks. When you get two quick goals like that, it definitely helps the goalie. Obviously I’m playing more, but it’s not over, so I can’t be too happy right now, you know. I’ve just got to stay focused and there’s still lots of hockey to play."
Defenseman ROBYN REGEHR said:
"It was really nice to get that win, The Western Conference standings are continuing to be tight. They've been this way all season long, so the more games that we can win right now, the less we have to worry down the road toward the end of the season."
Defenseman RoaR said:
"I'm looking forward to make it miserable on them, especially HEMSKY, I must break you Hemsky !"
Head coach DARRYL SUTTER said:
(On whether the Kings had the start he was looking for) … “Yeah, we scored two goals in the first three minutes. So that’s a good start.”
(On Robyn Regehr’s contributions) … “He’s a big solid guy. He’s going to play that way. He’s going to finish checks and move pucks and try to play the system, that’s what he does.”
(On Justin Williams’ recent play) … “It’s good to see him score because he plays with Kopi and Brownie and doesn’t get much credit, so it’s good to see him score.”
(On whether Jonathan Bernier’s play changes the balance of how he plans on using the goaltenders) … “No, we’re still in the heavy lifting schedule part of it and we need them both. I think it’s shown that when one’s fresh – it doesn’t matter which one it is – that they’re both capable guys.”
(On his evaluation of an Edmonton team that visits L.A. on Saturday) … “Well, they’re playing tonight, so I’ll watch tonight and give you a real answer tomorrow."

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE / ONLY 11 GAMES REMAINING -
Apr13Schedule_zps2ab08c12.png

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Thank you. This is our charm.

Just saw the Regehr post game interview. Dame is that guy built like a tank or what? He is huge no wonder guys want him on their team. And listening to him it sounds like he has good head as well.

Great player to have and with smarts.

I really wish sometimes I could string together a sentence that almost makes sense, but ultimately doesn't. It's either a series of words that are completely disjointed or there is no moment in the sentence that it makes sense.

I salute you.

Game related... let's not make this a special teams battle with Edmonton.

He is ****ing huge. You ought to see him from the cheap seats like I do. I can't see half the ice. Already love the ****ing guy...Martinez better hope ellerby ****s up or he isn't going to see the ice anytime soon.

Lol so even when bernier gets a shut out quick gets start, **** logic. Is this real life or is this just fantasy.

Deal with it. One will be on the team next season and one will not.

Ones winning games the other isn't. Way to be irrelevant. I dont care if hes not here next season. He's winning games now, Live in the now, and the now is this season. Its not fair to the team.

One of Quick/Bernier was going to play one game, one was going to play the other. Not seeing the problem here. It's interesting in that Bernier is getting none of the difficult road starts. Well, until tomorrow. We need to know if he can win difficult games on the road anyway.
