Can some stat guy check which D pair the Chytil line is playing more through this season? It always seems that they are playing with Smith-Hajek and getting stuffed in the D zone. This game constantly on ice with the top 4 and are playing way better than the last few games.

Chytil was noticeable but he had Laf open going to the net on their first or second shift. It was a peewee pass and I dont even know if he saw it.

Not watching the game, but I’m 0% surprised that Krav is showcasing skill and confidence.

Again, watch Kakko and Laf on their first career games. Then watch them again in Game 10. Night and day.

Buffalo team playing with more structure and intensity since the coaching change. We need to match their intensity. The book on defending the Rangers is keep them to the outside and push them off pucks in the corners. And also counter attack when we fail to get pucks in deep.

This next period, we need to skate and drive the net. And get pucks there and hope for rebounds.

The Zib line looked very mediocre. Panarin line looked pretty good but it was one of those periods where Kakko is not clicking with Strome/Panarin because he's reacting to them as opposed to attacking and playing his game.

Kid line looked pretty good, but it's going to need a more effective Laf for it to click. Chytil is doing most of the work and Kravtsov is already a bit more effective than Laf out there.

That fourth line is good at getting themselves pinned in deep. I don't love Rooney. I think he's good in flashes but his lines can really suffer when it comes to zone time and getting clean breakouts. We need an upgrade over him and Howden.
