If we have any hope at all we have to remain disciplined Florida typically take a lot of penalties.
A hot power play is our best protection against getting run out of the building.
I can't count how many games I've watched in these past three seasons where teams would abuse us with no fear of our PP.

F*** Florida Go Habs Go
if it's Dobes ,for once let's hope were the team with the rookie in nets that frustrates the other team.:thumbu:

We’re going to get slaughtered, aren’t we?
No idea what we'll get with Dobes in nets. First game, he could be laser-focused and fuelled by adrenaline... or he could freeze up and drown.

We're not going to overwhelm Florida with talent (other than Laine's shot), so this'll be a good test to see if our roster can play a disciplined mental game. Stronger on the boards, crisper passes, opportune shooting, better coverage, no stupid penalties.

So, with Laine being fine, we've just showed teams that if you hit our stars we will removed them from the game with no push back whatsoever and turn tail and just take it.

Congratulations. You've just told every team to hit the shit out of us This team has a pathetic culture.

Talk about getting thrown to the wolves. The decisions within the organization are puzzling to say the least. With Laval looking like crap last night, I think this’ll be another winless weekend for these teams.

I think the NHL team relies on the farm team to develop and provide players to the big club. While I want Laval to do well we have to remember that Laval is there to augment the big team.
Dobes is ready, as was Price when he played and won his first NHL start and Halak when he did the same.

It seems they don’t want to play Montembeault two days in a row (which I believe is the correct decision, especially since they play another game two days after) so the options were to play Dobes against Florida who has 3.44 goals per game or Tampa Bay who is the league leader in goals per game at 3.94. I think they picked the best of two poor options.

Dont get me wrong, I hope you’re right, but Price wasn’t coming into a rebuilding team and took a while to establish himself to the point where there was heavy debate on keeping him or Halak. I don’t think this will make any difference at all at this point.

You are kidding yourself if you don't think this has been a staple for the opposition since like forever.

I've been watching this team for nearly forty years. It has gotten way worse. This current team is beyond soft and I hate it. Soft means no compete.
Soft does NOT mean no compete. They compete. It means they get hit more and there is more chance of injuries. They need 2 more guys like Xhekaj and at least one unpredictable cheap shot artist to keep teams honest.
