Challenge Initiated By: Boston

Type of Challenge: Goaltender Interference

Result: Call on the ice is upheld – Goal Detroit

Explanation: After video review, it was determined that the actions of Brandon Carlo contributed to Detroit’s Michael Rasmussen’s stick making contact with Jeremy Swayman’s glove outside the crease and therefore, did not constitute goaltender interference. The decision was made in accordance with Rule 69.1 which states, in part, that the goal should be allowed because “Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease…”

Penalty: 2:00 minor penalty: Delay of Game – Unsuccessful Challenge

All the angles I’ve seen Carlos stick is pulling the opposing players stick away from swayman .

Enjoyed that game more than most this year...great team building win...and Zacha learned to clear the zone on the 6-5 and got himself a goal! Trent needs to bring that type of game more consistently..hell of a player when he's engaged (not talking about his goals but they were a bonus)

Just like the Cowboys game, they can always say whatever and cover their butt.

I only watched from the 11:05 mark of the second until the end of the second, when they played poorly, got screwed by the refs and were scored upon twice in an 8:55 stretch. I am superstitious, so I turned it off, and they played better and won. Draw your own conclusions. lol
Happy BirthDay!
