I think Laf and Kakko are the biggest indictment of how we coach offense.

Both of these kids are clearly talented and Kakko has played great. He's always in position to make something happen.

But nothing ever does happen because you clearly have two kids who have idea how to attack a defense that they can't just skate through like it's a video game.

And what are we teaching them? As much as Kakko has improved every other aspect of his game, his production has gone backwards.
Its also usage. Iirc most of Kakkos production and chance creation last year was on the powerplay and this year he gets literally 0 burn except for the 20 seconds a powerplay the second unit gets.

And Kravs will struggle under this coach as well. If we bring him back next year I will lose all respect for JD/JG.

I'm no coach but the first thing I would tell Lafreniere is "dude, just stop passing."

He needs to shoot more and he needs to carry more. He does nothing but make useless passes for the sake of making a pass. Because he feels like he has to? I don't know what's going through his head but the coach needs to be on it.

It's gotten worse, not better. So has Miller.
“You’re the playmaker on this line. You have the vision. You can do this. Don’t lose confidence and just keep making those passes.”

I honestly think that’s what Quinn repeats to him. Too bad motivation doesn’t work that way. Maybe at the beginning it did, as Laf was noticeable in his first few games, but you just stop buying the fluff when things don’t turn.

Coach needs to go. He’s a worse AV.

4-0 if management does not think they need a change, this organization is more clueless than I thought. Do something
