I might split up Chytil from Laf.

Lafreniere Rooney Kravtsov - *love to see Barron get a shot eventually
PDG/Lemieux Chytil Blackwell/Gauthier
 
Can the Blackwell experiment end now. How can he possibly still be in that spot. I'd strait up ask Quinn. Of all the young skill guys on this team, you've put Lemieux and Blackwell on PP2 and we have the worst PP in the league.

The whole kid line thing is stupid. You don't stick a bunch of kids struggling in Quinnology 101 and stick them in the same study group with a textbook and a protractor.

I am a believer in splitting up KZB.

Can we stop associating all 12 guys with recent play results? Get Kravtsov in there and pull a Lemieux or Blackwell. Sounds like an excuse that they don’t know how to get him in or where and want to delay. Wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play remainder of the year if they remain relatively healthy. PDG is back too.
 
Miller is playing so many mins it’s silly to give him pp time over a Laf or Chytil. Makes no sense give the kid a minute to breathe.

not loving panarins thought process today on that pp test Elliot he’s awful. Stop trying to thread it between 4 guys

The person to take out is obvious - Laf but that's not to happen.
 
Chytil is tough to match linemates to, I feel. He carries the puck a lot, and only really looks to pass or get open for passes once a drive to the net has been repelled.

Until he develops a more rounded offensive game, a line with him and Gauthier looking for fast breaks and a guy who is more calming and stifling in transition may be a better way to go.

If it was next season, I suspect Lafreniere could be that driver, but he isn't good enough yet. Here's to hoping that Kravtsov can come in and find chemistry with Chytil and/or Lafreniere.

I guess so but it just seems silly to not have the correct talent on the ice, especially while trotting 4 RH shots on PP1. Put Laf in that spot and just run the PP from the other side.

Idk but I just know that Blackwell has done nothing to merit continued PP usage.
 
Right now, I’d rather see:

Lemieux - Chytil - Gauthier
Lafreniere - Howden - PDG

than the kid line, Rooney or Blackwell.
