NEWS
- Jakub Dobes will get the start.

- Lias Andersson & Jan Mysak will return to the line-up. Yaremko & McKay scratched.

Laval now with 5 wins in their last 7, picking up points in 6 of their last 8. They've picked up 11 pts out of a possible 16, playing .688 hockey during that stretch. A huge win last night, mainly it being a regulation win on a divisional rival, keeping Laval within the playoff picture. They currently sit 4 points out of a playoff spot.

Unfortunately, tonight are a bunch of divisional games. So the teams Laval is close to will get points. The ideal scenario in those is that they end in regulation, so at least one of the teams doesn't pick up points.

Kaskisuo made a great first impression last night. And hopefully that is a sign of things to come. Because if Dobes can continue to play the way he has of late in addition to Kaskisuo putting the kinds of performances he did last night, the Laval net will be in good shape, a far cry from the beginning of the year.

Last night's game was physical and chippy. And coming back to play the same team less than 24 hours, some of that might spill over to today. Despite all that, a win is the priority.

Hoping for a good outing from Dobes.

Odd to sit 2 guys that can play physical when this game will probably be chippier with the back to back.

Every season, we’re hearing the same thing. They’re never playing comfortably ahead to make the playoffs, it’s always « they’re only so few points out of a playoff spot ».

Of course, there are probably plenty of good reasons for it. But, would be nice to see them not always playing catch up in the standings.

It is a 3-in-3. You have to rotate some guys.

Laval still has guys like Condotta, Bisson, Bourque, Xhekaj, and Legare in the line-up. So it's not like not having McKay and Yaremko in your line-up suddenly makes you soft. They also insert Galipeau in the line-up, who isn't a pushover, either.

If anything, this year, it makes more sense that they're in the position they're in with all the influx of rookies.

Last year was more a head scratcher because they weren't supposed to be in the position they were in battling their way back. They were off to an absolute terrible start.

The year before, they were in a playoff position almost all year. And years before that, they were basically out of it early.

It's like they can't read the room.

As I metioned to jrom, it's not because McKay and Yaremko aren't in the line-up, Laval is suddenly soft. I listed a bunch of guys who are more than to stand up for themselves and teammates. And it's a 3-in-3, they need to rotate guys in and out.

Dobes left the warm up early as he took a Gignac shot off the hand. But all is good and he will play.

Really curious that both in the NHL and AHL they like to take away tough players from the team and let them get beat up.

They are not suddenly soft but they did remove some significant toughness.

It's like you guys forget there's a hockey game that needs to be played and all you're worried about are the scrums after the whistles. And as good as McKay and Yaremko are for Laval, they're not the only ones able to play physical, defend teammates, and themselves.

And just as I write this, Bisson shows you why it's not just those two guys who can do this.

It's 5 on 5 but Rockets have someone in the penalty box. Why?
Probably from the fighting major, but where's the Crunch's player?

Edit looks like Bisson

Laval back to the box. Galipeau.

Yea it was Bisson. But the Crunch player was there, too. He was only sitting, while Bisson was standing. So that's why it only looked like only Bisson was in the box.

Ok, we really couldn't see him from where we are. Thanks

I care for physical play but even if you dont, these two guys were like the Rockets best forwards yesterday. They did really good.

Then again, Im happy Mysak is playing. Generally I think the Rockets have too many tweeners like Condotta, Bourque, Simoneau, Maillet and Gignac. Depth is good but without top end its meh.
Still mad they let Richard go.
