For the record, the nerdies definitely agree with Lilly out.

And I think ideally Engvall would up on the 2nd line instead of Kase....but I think he wants Engvall on the 4th to make sure it's not a liability when Coop gets to use his last change to target them.

I think they would have taken Lyubushkin out if not for the physical aspect. With Simmonds and Clifford both out, I think they want to keep him and Muzzin in the lineup to make sure nothing happens around Campbell.

Liljegren has drastically outplayed Lyubushkin though. Lyubushkin has been the Leafs' worst defenseman by far, and it is not even because he has been a disaster. He just hasn't been anything amazing and he doesn't look like a guy who should be on a top pairing.

Yep. Holl was the #1 PK guy on our great PK this year. No shock he's back in.

The issue as always is Boosh - our "defensive dman" who can't play the PK.

People are in love with the hits of Boosh that they can't see that he's the weakest D on the team when healthy.

Keefe has to be better than this.

Personally, if it was up to me I would....

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Engvall-Kerfoot-Nylander
Mikheyev-Kampf-Kase
Tavares-Spezza-Clifford

*Spezza skates faster than Tavares
**Blackwell IMO has not been effective

Tavares-Spezza can be a decent duo IMO and can outplay Fat and the Rat on their 4th line. Their 4th line should not be beating our 4th line.

Also, I think we can play Tavares-Spezza-Clifford line against 3rd or 4th line of Tampa.

I am almost positive that Cooper will match Matthews line with Point line to keep them scoreless, and let Stamkos-Kucherov line against any other Leafs line for scoring purposes.

To be seen of course. Our 3rd and 4th line should be outscoring Tampa's 3rd and 4th line while our other two lines can play their two lines to a stalemate
 
I can’t imagine the back lash Holl will get today from some if he plays bad. I’m sure everyone is going to be keeping a close eye on him tonight.

Holl is in for Liljegren :facepalm: What the actual f***. Yes the PK sucked in game 2, yes the PK was godly in game 1, yes Lily is 10x better than Holl. I hope Keefe knows what he's doing. Lily is great at breaking it out and making passes in our own zone under pressure, I'm expecting several turnovers from Holl and bad positioning. I pray that I am wrong.

I think Keefe is going to lean heavy into the Kampf line on a lot of defensive zone face offs tonight.
 
If we lose this series because Keefe plays Holl over Liljegren please just fire him. Complete and utter bullshit. Should have been Lyubushkin coming out if Keefe is that desperate to turn to Holl (lmao).

Should keep Joey Anderson in the lineup instead of Kase.

Kase’s done nothing anyway
