I was so happy when he signed here. I really like his character. He knew we traded a pick for him and then didn't play due to surgery. Decided to come back and reciprocate that respect. Same kind of thing with Connor Brown.

He might not be the best analytical player but put in the right situation he's an NHL player with his ability to make plays and passes. The fact that he has some jam and is scoring is a bonus.

I really didn’t know anything about him when we got him. Have to give credit where credit is due. The Oilers patience with injuries is paying off. And it’s a real good strategy of buy low payoffs. We might see it again with Regula.
