It was pointless to sign Igor at this stage of the game. We are more than a goaltender away from being true contenders. They have so many holes to fill, and this move handcuffs them for years. They should have looked for a franchise center to pay instead of a goaltender.

It's a team of read and react guys who need other people to do the digging and working and they all just stare at each other waiting for one another to go skate hard.

They all want to make a pass to the streaking guy, except none of them want to be the streaking guy, so they kinda do everything at 2/3 speed waiting for someone else to work hard.

And how do you do that while spending 5000m for a goalie? If you can't win while spending that for a goalie, then why are you spending that?

I'm not saying we don't give up plenty of opportunities, but sometimes it's going to happen even with good players, it would be nice to not fall behind so often when it does happen.

The floating is unbelievable. Kreider can’t make a defensively play in the high slot because he’s standing completely still. I know he’s playing through injury but has it really been different in past years. No one wants to go near the net on offense except the 4th line.
