IMO Kursk would be more appropriate for a Jets-Wild game where one team lets the other get 6 goals ahead early and the other tries to grind its way to 7. And fails. This isn't even the Battle of Mid anymore... this is the Battle of Kursk. Just two utterly disappointing teams who might just as well be going full tank.
Its not.It better be Cossa tonight
He job is on the line. I would use Husso if I were him. The fan in me obviously wants to see Cossa get the start.Husso has a bad record against Buffalo. Stupid lalonde has no guts to try cossa.
This mindset is where I have been heading all season. Sucks though, getting upset when your team wins is a maddening experience.Feels like the perfect year to just ride out Lalonde and finally get some lottery luck. Start fresh next year with a new coach and a top 3 pick. If you need me, I'll be coping in the corner
Even if he's not playing he's still practicing with NHLers, which should only be beneficial for him in the long run imo. Facing the shots of Raymond, Larkin, Kane, etc... even his jersey logo is getting some practice with Compher's shot.My issue isn't with Husso, it's with calling up Cossa when he could be playing games in Grand Rapids. Either send him down or play him.
Our season is cooked, e need to be playing the young guys. When Lombardi and Mazur are healthy, call them up and start waiving non-producing vets. Danielson and Wallinder should be getting looks and AlJo should be a regular.
Both Talbot and Lyon skated today, so seems unlikely Cossa sees any game action before being sent back down.
FWIW, Cossa did make comments about getting valuable practice time with NHLers (not that you would expect him to say anything else):
"Just the intensity of the play, the execution — it's the highest level of hockey in the world," Cossa said. "Seeing it day-by-day, I've been taking a lot away from Hus, and even Talbs and Lyon as they're getting back, just seeing their day-to-day routines and how they perform at this high level.
"Definitely first day or two, I saw the raise of intensity, the skill of the players. I've felt a lot better the past three, four days."
Honestly I'm not upset when they win. It's moreso I'm less upset when they loseThis mindset is where I have been heading all season. Sucks though, getting upset when your team wins is a maddening experience.
Detroit or Buffalo?Oh god. They're gonna get Reimered, aren't they?
Well we did outshoot them so that's something I guess. Didn't catch that game but 4-1 seems far fetchedLalonde said we should have won 4-0 or 4-1 against Colorado according to their analytics. I feel way more confident now!
Just gotta get traction!
