Oh for some serious journalists to ask PDB some tough questions. Nothing about why were the forwards so bad tonight, nothing about why is Robertson abysmal again.
I get being unhappy, but it doesn't matter.

You can drive underneath the tollway in Frisco from the Stars HQ to the Cowboys HQ. Inside that building, you'll find dozens of serious journalists every single day asking everyone they see the toughest questions. It makes no difference.

Crazy to think Robo scored 100 + points just two seasons ago
I'm so f***ing thankful that Nill didn't sign him to an Elias Pettersson-sized contract. People shit on GMs for signing bridge deals, but at least it allows the team to know what they're paying for before signing them to massive buyout proof contracts that cripple the team for 7-8 years. We dodged a huge bullet with Robo, which is actually unfortunate because I think we all wish he was playing like a $9mil+ forward right now...

Went to bed after two, but watched the Bischel goal, and that's the one that went in? And none of the other guys on the team could figure out Annunen? Ffs.

I'm gonna need Stankoven to start scoring some goals soon. Tied for 7th on the team in points now (did miss 2 games tho).

Also lol @ Bichsel coming in and doing everything Dumba does but better AND he scored a goal, which ties him with Dumba's point totals through 19 games this season

Jim Nill has gotta be kicking himself over that one

It looks like a soft goal but Bichsel smartly used Luke Schenn as a screen. He said that in his postgame interview as well. You could argue Annunen has to do a better job tracking the puck but he was clearly screened by his own defenseman. He didn't see anything at all. I actually like Annunen. I think he has upside. Preds undressed the Avs with that trade.

I think what really threw Annunen off is the fact that the shot deflected off Schenn's skate and changed direction

Just curious, what is the fanbase feelings on Bichsel? Is he someone that you guys would like to get a long look in the NHL at this time, or is he and the team better served for him to continue to develop in the AHL?

I think given the current state of the defense, he deserves a longer look. Entirely possible though I guess that he only stays up until Dumba is healthy (he's better than Dumba, but doubt they wanna carry that many healthy dmen on the roster). Idk though

Nice to see our favorite Rögle great score a goal!

That being said I'm slowly getting worried about the team this year. Our best shot might've been last season...

I haven't really watched Bichsel before last night, so what surprised me most is how he skates. I don't know how to describe it other than he skates like a smaller guy.

Maybe it's because he doesn't have long, lumbering, slow strides or something, but if he wasn't so much bigger than other guys on the ice, I wouldn't be able to tell him apart from guys half his size in that respect.

Why though? It's basically the same team. Pavelski and Suter have been cooked during playoffs, Hakanpaa was injured, Dellandrea was fair but didn't play much. So it's really just Tanev. Some of the older guys obviously lost a step but there's also new guys coming in and younger guys with more experience in bigger roles. Also, if, thanks to Bichsel, they get rid of Dumba then that would free up room to make a Tanev like move at the trade deadline.

Because no one except for Marchment and Duchene are playing up to their contracts. Maybe it’s losing back to back WCF… Maybe it’s because Pav’s leadership is gone. Who knows.

I agree but it's really just about making the playoffs. Once you're in, everything is possible. The potential, the talent is still there.

They just aren't performing and I'm worried that our supposed best offensive players (Robertson and Hintz) might be cooked. Johnston has also regressed but he's also incredibly young so no need to be worried yet.

Losing Suter and Tanev replacing them Dumba and Smith was (unsuprisingly) just a straight downgrade.

Hopefully the team will wake up and Nill will cook at the deadline and we'll be in the wcf again.

I'm not saying anything about Annunens ability, moreso just can't believe with all the talent this team has they could only get that one goal. Just frustration.
