NEWS
- Jakub Dobes will get the start.

- Gabriel Bourque did not travel with the team. He's sick.

Laval headed into the Christmas break having won 4 of their last 5 games. Tonight, they face the team that consistently gives them a hard time. But a regulation win could go a long way, because they'd be 3 pts behind the Baby Sens and a playoff spot. At worst, even if they win it in OT/SO, it would be a good thing. Basically getting the 2 points is crucial.

They have a 3-in-3 this weekend. Tonight in Belleville, tomorrow they play at home vs. Syracuse, and then on Saturday, they travel to Syracuse to face the Crunch again. We should expect to see Kaskisuo get his first start some time during this series of matches.

Coming away from this 3-in-3 with points could help Laval's pursuit of a playoff spot.

The way things have been lately, as long as Kaskisuo can be a league average second goalie, the team should be playing at least .500 hockey for the remainder of the season. Maybe even a bit better than that if the young guys really start cooking.

The most hated Belleville tonight and no Bourque.
Please don’t play like total garbage tonight guys. Belleville is a joke.

Good start to the game for Laval, outshooting Belleville 10-3 with 6:30 minutes left in the 1st.

Belleville open the scoring.

Belleville makes it 2-0 on the PP. They will review it to see if the net came off before the puck went in.

Edit: good goal.

It was a dumb penalty by Condotta. Kidney got hit (had his head down), but it was a clean hit. Condotta went to his defense, dropped the gloves, but the other guy didn't. So only Condotta gets a penalty.

Another case of even when Laval dominates the play, Belleville finds a way to score and take the lead.

Kaskisuo was decent with Marlies

Yup.

And I'll correct myself. I mistakenly said that the two games with Syracuse tomorrow and Saturday were a home-and-home, but they're both will be in Laval. And both games are sold out.

It's Mann who is the back up tonigh. So clearly Kaskisuo stayed behind because he should get the start tomorrow.

Belleville is what the Minnesota Wild are to the Habs.
