I'm just happy I get the NESN feed on ESPN+ since NESN360 is not an option to those of us outside of New England. I wish I could get the pregame, between periods and post game shows but I have been very pleased so far.

Was Chiarelli part of the ceremony?
No. Claude was there last year when the team was honored but I don't recall Chia being there or at anything related to the Centennial.

You should get the intermission, I do watching the same way.

Ducking out of work early for pre-game at The Barn. In my seats by 6pm for the National Anthem. I'll be the handsome guy, down in the corner rocking the Charlie Coyle Reverse Retro sweater. Hopefully the boys put on a show tonight.

Seeing it on TV doesn't do it justice. JC doing the National Anthem is a Must Do Bucket List item for any hockey fan.
Have a blast and cheer loud for our boys!

Just pulled my tickets up on the app. Section 110, first row! That doesn't suck...

Not bad for freebies. I've sat there before, but this'll be a first for my wife. Not gonna tell her until we get there, just to see the look on her face. Keep an eye out for me on TNT. I'll be rocking the gold #13...

I also had to add Sling for the season because they carry the NHL network which likes to grab several Bruins games a year. I agree it's too much. It would be nice to have a single service which carried all the games regardless of network rights (and by that I mean one that is legal )
Maybe someone knows better than me, but doesn't Centre Ice carry all games?

Just one more than Pasta, it's no big deal! Pasta will get his soon enough!
Still, more than Pasta seems wrong. I mean he was a Bruins cast off and here we are a team that basically can't score any goals. Size of their salaries is a little different too isn't it. I'm not going to do the math but if you want to work out cost/goal.

But Pasta has more points
and way more money.

MOC having the balls to trade Joe Thornton to build around a very raw Patrice Bergeron took absolute balls of steel. He doesn't get enough credit for recognizing what a special player and person Bergy was and is.

Jeff Gorton also needs to be re-evaluated and given his flowers for drafting Kessel/Lucic/Marchand and holding down the fort while Chiarelli finished with Ottawa.

Bottom line is that MOC laid the groundwork for Gorton and Chiarelli to come in and revamp the franchise and ultimately win in 2011.

Brad Stuart's issue was that he was dealing with custody shit which is why he got traded to Calgary by Chiarelli
The rumor I remember with Brad Stuart was that his wife wanted to be on the West coast and pushed him to ask out

One of MOC's biggest failure's was not finding a #1 dman after RB77 was traded out of town. The guys they tried as top pairings just never panned out: Jon Girard got into the car accident that ended his promising young career, Brian Berard needed GPS to find his way back to defend in his own end, they couldn't resign Sergei Gonchar, Nick Boynton never progressed beyond a decent 2nd pairing guy, Dan McGillis wasn't good enough, Brian Leetch was too old, Brad Stuart couldn't build on his one good year. For a franchise that has a history from generation to generation of having some of the very best bluelines in hockey, it was a big black mark on MOC's legacy, at least with the local folks.
Agreed, the biggest missing piece from 2001-2005 was the lack of a true #1 defenseman. You had a lot of solid middle pairing guys (McLaren, Gill, Boynton, McGillis, O'Donnell, etc.) but no #1. Gonchar was great in the brief time he was here but that was a rental and was all for nought when Thornton was crippled and gave us donuts in the first round.

I'm not sold that Jonathan Girard was ever going to be a top pairing guy, but certainly had the chops to be a PP QB and maybe like an early version of Krug. He was only 22 when he had his accident, and defensemen peak later, so we'll never really know what could've been.

You will get the games that are NHL Network though, YouTubeTV doesn't have that channel. It works out to be about the handful of games that you miss. One of our tv's has roku built into it tho so we stream comcast off his parents account to that tv for those games LOL
I would pay serious money to just get 82 regular season Bruins games with the Boston feed whenever possible. My DirecTV Center Ice package continues to glitch and shows now only in standard definition. Watching it on Hulu/+ etc is maddening because you can’t record or fast forward through commercials.

There is

..it's called "NHL Center Ice", who take ALL your money for a full subscription that advertises EVERY NHL game ...but then they lie, and don't deliver all the games, which to me is false advertising

I've contacted them a couple times in the last two weeks from their website to ask for a rebate for the games that are NOT shown ...but of course I'm not getting any response

I'm going to keep sending them the same message every week until the season is over (if necessary) to see if they'll respond

MOC did draft Bergeron and Krejci. His biggest move was trading Joe Thornton in order to build the organization around Bergeron.

IIRC, Jeff Gorton technically drafted Marchand because Chia couldn't join the B's until July 1.
The issue was not just trading Joe out. He did not open it up to other partners to get a better return, and the return he got from the one partner he engaged was simply not enough. He was unloading Joe. Second order effects aside, he was not a visionary clearing a path for PB37.

Donato has more goals than Pasta? That just seems so wrong.
I think Pasta needs to see a sports psychologist or therapist (if he hasn't already)

He seems to have lost his confidence (for scoring goals), and is so indecisive and is not trusting his instincts right now

I hope he'll get more confidence as the season goes on, because I miss the old Pasta

Welcome to the Jungle
I have complained about NESN360 enough on this forum so I feel like I should come back and say this year I have had no issues with what is delivered. The stream has been consistently good. I roll with Hulu live and NESN360 and this year I don't think Ive been forced to miss a single game.

When I was on xfinity it was as bad as NESN360 with the stream. I don't know if that was cleaned up as well. I will take what I have now either way.
I do take issue with the fact that I cannot watch the game on delay until the Bruins in 2 airs which is often too late.

If I start late and on a delay they cut off my stream when the game ends. There is no recording. You just have to wait for Bruins in 2.
