great first game (the last half I caught) for Blidh. Like him as an energy guy, liked the hits, liked the strong boardwork and shots.

Very happy to see K.Miller playing so well, I have criticized him in the past for some of his play (which at times I think was deserved) but he is looking so much better after those first few games coming back from injury.

Our D has been amazing minus Chara and Liles....a real testament to the system too.

also helps that Rask is GOD.

Rask is off the charts right now. Keeps winning us 1 goal matches in high pressure situations game after game.

Mistake.

Watch the Bruins in the background while you do something else. This isn't an exciting team to watch but it's nice background audio.

Tuukka (and Dobby) pretty much has to keep it to 1 GA or less every game. Not sure he can keep this up all season, if he slips just a little things can get ugly in the standings

Another great game by Rask.
Liked Blidh.
Krejci best forward. Created many looks and got a great deflection.
Hopefully that goal was Bergy waking up. Had a very rough game overall.
All the D played well. Beside McQuaid...

2-0-1 this week. 1pt back Ott for 2nd in the division.

Keep it up B's!

I can't remember the last season when the B's won so many games by scoring only 2 goals. I think this is the 6th game this season the Bruins won a game with only 2 goals scored.

Rask has been lights out so far this season, and is definitely the reason they are winning these low scoring games, but Clode has to be careful not to use him too much, so he doesn't get burnt out by the end of the season.

this tuukka rask fellow is pretty dang good.

Also, Blidh impressed me in his debut, in that he played exactly the same as he does in PVD

I agree, and in fairness, the B's are far from the only team playing this way. Minnesota/Calgary last night was a real snoozefest.

I will say, boring games the Bruins win are more exciting than boring games they lose. ;)

I don't recall the last time Bergeron was 34% on faceoffs. :help:

He must have been on drugs (i.e. cold medicine). I assume there is something they are allowed to take for that.

Yep. Not sure holding teams to a goal a game is really all that sustainable, but I'm going to enjoy the ride while it lasts. Rask is playing at an incredibly high level right now.

How was the game? Missed it, glad Bergy scored. Blidh look decent?

Same here, Chara didn't play again? Who sat for Blidh?

Edit: Also just checking out the boxscore, looks like Hayes sat?
And Morrow had almost 2 minutes of shorthanded time but only 13 minutes overall. What's up with that?

When you're wrong, you're wrong - and my arguing that Rask is not an elite-level goaltender (in that he wasn't a game-breaker, was more or less my point) was all kinds of wrong, based at least on his play thus far.

No way to know for certain, but I feel like this was the exact type of game that they would have lost last year. Glad to see them pull it off, despite the injuries/illnesses.

Offense has to start pulling its weight, especially once we start facing stronger opponents.

The way I see it Rask is playing at the highest level you could expect from him and the D is playing at a higher level than can be expect. One or both are going to fall off, at least a little. If the O doesn't come around the team will start losing more of these games.

Just finished watching on the DVR--Blidh a big upgrade over Jimmy, positioning good and like the snarl. Tuukka strong again. Kevan Millar impressive.
