Opposing teams know that if you just pack the house and block shots, the Bruins will rarely score. Even the Penguins, who have allowed an average of 4 goals a game (worst in the league), figured it out.

My kid and I try and do an away game every season, so we planned (as soon as the schedule came out) a trip that will be in a couple of weeks.

We are meeting in Seattle for a game and then taking the train to Vancouver for another game....sign. I hope they win at least one.

Nothing is going right, and I am grouchy all of the time.
Well if you and your daughter ever want to meet half way, I’d be happy to show you around Chicago, and I might be able to score you some tickets, too.

Winter can be tough though, so make sure she brings a warm coat. Its 18F as I type this…

Thanks much ! Chicago is on the list of arenas I would like to go to. @GahdenRinkRat has been to a game there.

I live in NH so I have warm clothes.

You should come to Boston. Ticket prices might be coming down.

From what I saw, this roster is thin on talent and looks very unmotivated. Many mental lapses. From what I can tell, poor coaching, poor effort and poor attitude doomed this team tonight.

I think it’s time for Charles to take a hard look at the Boston Bruins from top to bottom and make some changes. Starting with but certainly not limited to Don Sweeney.

They fired Peter Chiarelli for less than this.

I don’t think it’s coaching. Didn’t think Monty was the problem and don’t think it’s Sacco either.

Just do the math and add up the offensive production of all the players we lost (including the D) and add back the production of the players we’ve added. There’s your answer.

We expected our existing guys (some who had career years) to maintain/improve on those numbers, and we hoped our young guys would fill the void. We literally had NO margin for error. Now we are paying for it.

If that was intentional (and I don’t think it was) it’d have been nice for our GM to let us know. If not, it was a gross miscalculation.

I work a 12 hour night shift the next time these guys play. All I’m doing is watching a hole and making sure people don’t fall in it. For 12 hours. Never thought I’d rather be doing that than watching the Bruins, but here I am.

Frederic Geekie Coyle (yes he scored) were completely invisible tonight. Zero heart. I’ve been to hundreds of games and this by far is top 10 snooze fest for me. Lack of energy was noticeable

Yeah, thats a BAD Pens team. The Bs didn't have to bring a lot to the table to beat them, but they couldn't muster up enough. Looked like the first 20 games - little to no emotion, defensive breakdowns, losing important faceoffs ... i was waiting for a too many men penalty.
