Bit of a rough one;

- Korpi wasn't great. 2 of the three goals he allowed probably should have been saved.

- Defense was not great. McAvoy was reallllly bad. Again. Wotherspoon was rough (though after what was a pretty solid stretch from him prior you can let it slide), Lorhei once again doesn't look like he can play outside of the o zone. This team misses Hampus Lindholm and it shows. Peeke continues to do what he does and not get noticed, which is the best you can ask for from a bottom pairing guy. They did clean it up in the third after that abomination of a 30 seconds to close out the second though

- Surprising signs of life from the offense. The Marchand/Zacha/Pasta line looked fantastic and probably played their best game of the season. Do not break this line apart, let it cook a bit.

Good chance to build some confidence coming up. Pittsburgh friday night and then Montreal, both of whom are horrendous defensively. Pittsburgh currently sits last in GA with a mindboggling 97 goals allowed in only 24 games played while Montreal is tied for 30th with Colorado. Then games against Chicago, Detroit and Philly before an actual test against the Jets in Winnipeg all the way on December 10th.

What a dirty little dive by Anders Lee there to draw that penalty.

How do the Islanders manage to always be one of the least penalized teams in the league? Even when they had Clutterbuck and Martin blasting guys and they would lead the league in hits they still were one of the least penalized teams in the league.

Maybe the refs take pity on them for those horrible sweaters.

Uneven game by Boston but the compete level was there and it was nice to FINALLY see the offense come alive and bail them out.

All 3 Islander goals were assisted by Boston defensemen turning the puck over. Wotherspoon breakout pass giveaway, Lohrei fumble and McAvoy misfired on a flip that would have lobbed the puck to the neutral zone.

Korpisalo let in a softy on Lee short side but came up big in the 3rd and in the final minutes.

Let's hope this opens the flood gates!

Don't know if it's by design, but I'm noticing after a player makes a costly mistake, Sacco has him out there after pretty quickly. This seems to not only build confidence, it instills it, as the player wants to show the coach his trust was well-founded.

The team is playing hard and seems to be enjoying the game for the first time this season.

I sometimes get frustrated with Zacha passing from a good area instead of shooting; but not tonight. His primary assist was a beauty and he sold shot all the way.

This line didn't play together at all tonight.

6 goals were nice tonight but this team still did look that good.
They passing is still off. It's probably me but I just don't like Sacco system.
I believe the Bruins will still be over whelmed by a strong forecheck.
It's Thanksgiving and they're in a playoff spot so all is well.

Just what Zacka needed now if 13 and 11 can get it going it could be fun
11and 90 should not be in the line up. Unfortunately the pickings are slim for replacements . I suspect 51 will replace one of them in the New Year. Still hoping ,Frederic can turn it around ,but he has to soon

Yeah unless they bring in a few new guys that can score….. they are a wild card team at best

Yawn. Smoke and mirrors people. It’s been a good run. This roster stinks. Monty wins a cup before this team wins a playoff round. Book it.
Sorry but Montgomery quit on this team. No coach who acts the way he did in his last 2 months here will ever be a winner IMO. He's a jerk to put the team through that, whether it was by design or did it without realizing it (which I doubt) he will never be the HC of a Stanley Cup winning team.
Screw him!
