The officials in this league suck at explaining the reasoning behind calls and overturned calls.

Part of it might be a language barrier for sure.
I know Brickley couldn’t hear the ref’s mic last night.

Raycroft called the league out for the shit explanations. I agree.

Watch an NFL game for comparison. Listen to the referee explain why a call was changed. They may not get it right, or you may disagree with the interpretation, but it’s night and day in terms of how it’s articulated.
Brick later received an explanation and he still said “I need more.” The explanation was essentially “there was no hand pass”

I’m with Brick on this one.

Apparently they knew the one last night wasn't a hand pass.

And they were right.
lol i get it i get it

I don’t think it should be ruled a hand pass either. But based on what I’ve seen in the very recent past, the NHL usually considers that a hand pass

Pasta had the same situation last season.

Yet he put up 110 points and was +21.

I'm not blaming anyone but Pasta himself.

Difference between then and now to me is that his teammates were playing over their heads and teams could not afford to ignore the others and key so heavily on Pasta. Maybe he is injured as some have suggested? Even if not, I don't expect every guy on the team to have the mentality of Brad or Chara or Bergeron.

Pretty clear that until two of 18,28 & 13 significantly increase their output they will stay goal starved.

Some have said “they need scoring depth”.

They also need scoring at the top of the lineup. It can’t just be one guy, which is basically what it is.

They have Pastrnak and that’s it in terms of dynamic talent who can manufacture offense. They don’t have playmaking centers that can turn 20 goal scorers into 35 goal snipers.

In order to scratch and claw for a wild card spot, it’s going to take them going balls to the wall, beating up on the bad teams, and winning some ugly games 2-1.

They could do it. But again, to what end? One and done in the playoffs.

And that’s fine. Not every year is going to be a Cup contending year. But the arrow is not pointed up.

All true.

But they had no one last season, other than Pasta, to generate offensive either. They didn't have any playmaking center either. But Pasta put up 47 goals and 63 assists anyway. And the team was 12th in scoring rather than 32nd. They

Black Friday Sale . Entire hockey team on waivers including GM

Sick humor aside , Team has to break out . Pasta has to get his head out of his ass . I've heard the excuses about being double teamed blah blah .He's getting shots ,can't finish .

Sacco doing an excellent job in spite of the disaster JM left him.

I really think you have it backwards.

His linemates were playing better last year because Pasta was playing better. They aren't playing as well this season because he isn't playing well.

That seems pretty obvious to me watching him play.

Well they fixed the defence. Next step: fix the offence!

Edit: "You really should wear more sweaters". One of the great lines in tv history. Up there with "I'm with the firm Emerson . . Lake . . . . . . and Palmer" and "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly".
That episode of WKRP is quite possibly the greatest 23 minutes of episodic television ever put on screen.

The Islanders could put Patrick Roy in net and probably still shut these guys out. I miss scoring goals.

Oh god. Bruins vs Islanders?

I'll be asleep 2 mins into the game.

Wish this game was on 4pm tomorrow after I am stuffed with stuffing.

Apparently they knew the one last night wasn't a hand pass.

And they were right.

They were right. And the call against DeBrusk vs Florida will forever be bullshit.

If you’re going to trade McAvoy, why would you make a 33 year old power forward the keystone of the return?
Who is saying he is the key stone of the return? I "suggested" 3 parts with Schneider, Kreider and NYR #1 for purposes of discussion.

If you think its a better than 50\50 chance McAvoy with Boston has had his best days its not heresy to suggest a move.

McAvoy is by far having the worst production of his career right now. If you want to make the bet that at 26 years old he is on the decline, I think it’s about as good of a bet that raising tariffs won’t raise prices.

I remember that fight.
Hagler got screwed.
We need a scorer on every line.
This will be another 2-1 game like the Red Wings score.
Pass on Frankie.
Want us to trade for Mangy ( Mangiapane) on the Capitals, maybe he and Lindholm can find that magic they had on the Flames in 2021-2022?
Hey I’m good with that - like it but don’t see Caps selling

Bruins need to find more guys who can score. ALL of the other teams know the Bs don't have many who are a threat to score so they all stick to Pasta.

I have company coming and will be off visiting folks tonight so will watch what I can.

Please more of what you did last night only finish and score please.

Hey Steve, I hope the Bruins win tonight.

He has absolutely declined in play the last two years which NOT COINCIDENTALLY is the same time #37 retired. You may think he can exceed his peak Bruins years but Bergeron & Chara aren't walking thru those doors to elevate 73's play. IMO his days as a top 5-6 defender in the NHL look behind him. Right now he isn't even playing as a NHL wide top 15 d man and hasn't for over a year.
