I still can't understand why these guys don't make it miserable for the opposing players in front of the net? I know they have wicked scoring issues but this pisses me off more. I mean, JDB could've juggled plates, on that goal.

I watch other teams top powerplays take the entire PP almost everytime ,but we switch out our best players steady for 3rd & 4th line types to get PP time.And I mean pp time not 30 secs.No wonder it's so bad.

Home from what was overall one the Bs better games and probably the most frustrating this season
Much improved structure in their D zone.....Vancouver really didn't have many good looks
But they are a shambles in the O zone with absolutely zero finish. The Van. Goalie was very very good but the Bs also missed some golden opportunities- Coyle, Geekie and Zacha come to mind,- where there was room and all the shoots missed.
Coyle and Marchand did not have their best games, Lohrei was a constant positive factor and Frederick's jersey doesn't need to be washed because it is highly doubtful he worked up a sweat.
Don't know where the scoring is coming from ...Pasta passed a lot tonight - probably because he had one Canuck on him, another shadowing and the goalie cheating towards him. smart Van. game plan because no one else is a threat.

That's what pisses me off most.They will just miss playoffs or sneak in and out door 1st rd.Cant even tank properly to rebuild this mess.
Elias Lindholm is a real disaster signing and will hurt the team for years. Zadorov is playing better and at least you hear his name not like Elias which mean nothing is happening and he is just going through the motions.

Sweeney can find scoring help on the wing.
But for his own sake, *he had better choose wisely.*
How he handles this need and whether it secures a post season appearance - and playoff gate - may well determine his fate.

This is the GMs fault, went too big and too slow. How many off man rushes do they get a game... 1 maybe 2.....
They believed that a 80s-90s size defense can do it but that is completely wrong.
The NHL is all about speed which the Bruins have 0 of, actually -0.
Their D to 0 zone transition is non existent, too many 3rd liners with 0 finish and for f***** sake hit the net.
I have never seen any team ever miss os many shots on goal....
We had a good run but it's over.

There it is. Perfectly sums up the system against Boston's PP and forwards:
DOUBLE-TEAM PASTRNAK BECAUSE THERE ARE NO OTHER THREATS ON THE BOSTON BRUINS.
The defensive structure of the team looks a hell of a lot better. But very simply this team needs offensive help. That said, I don't mind the one - nothing, two - one games. It is a lot more enjoyable than losing 7 - 2.

Lankinen played an awesome reboundless gameSigh… I don’t think the Nucks goalie gave up a single rebound all night, and still the Bruins had over 30 SOG. What’s a stronger word for frustration
..and he's now 8-0-0 in road games this season, while the Nucks are on an 8 game road winning streak which leads the league
..but Bruins played hard and got 32 shots and had some really good looks
..but they are so very offensively challenged it's maddening
Tough loss . They played well. Pasta picked the wrong year to go into a funk . I think they have a chance to win their next 3 if they play like this and Pasta comes to life . I know Johnson gets shit on here but he should have been in the lineup tonight. He played well last game.

Times are bleak as who in the hell wants any of the players we are willing to trade to obtain a scorer. Nobody is going to feel sorry for the Bruins.
Going to be a long season and we will be very lucky to get 80 points with the team we have right now.

They need to straighten out their team defense first and foremost, and that is precisely what Sacco is doing.
It's been three games and they look like a different team.
The offense will follow, particularly if Sweeney acquires effective scoring help.
