Over the summer, I sent out a crack team of investigators to find out about some of our fellow HFJets posters. What they came back with was quite interesting, and throughout the season, we will look at some of the information they found out.
Today, we will look at the life of one of our more skeptical posters: @SUX2BU
SUX2BU was born in the North End of Winnipeg to Dowan and Haté (Hattie) Tubeeu, who were recent immigrants to Canada from Romania. When their son was born, they noticed that he had birthmarks on his feet that looked like socks...
They thought this was a “cute” name, but being new to this country and having thick Romanian accents, when they went to register his name, there was a misunderstanding. Instead to being registered as Socks Tubeeu, he was registered as SUX2BU...
SUX2BU was a happy child, always having fun playing with his friends and family. No matter where he went, he would always have a smile on his face...
In high school, SUX2BU was liked by all who knew him and was one of the more popular students...
Unfortunately, SUX2BU didn't know what he wanted out of life. His parents encouraged him to go to university to get an education, but SUX2BU had other plans...
He tried his hand as a gonzo journalist, but that blew up like a puff of smoke...
Next, he thought he would become a camp counsellor, but listening to all of the children's problems really bummed him out...
He then tried to be a gopher whisperer, but that didn't end the fairway...
He even enlisted in the Army, but he didn't get many stripes...
Finally, SUX2BU found his calling, a clown. As a child, he was happiest when he was joking around and thought this was it...
Then one day, he had a chance meeting with one of his old friends from high school, Ned Ryerson, and that changed his life forever...
It wasn't so much meeting him, it was the fact that he kept meeting him day...
after day...
after day...
until finally something snapped, and SUX2BU could not take it anymore...
SUX2BU was charged with aggravated assault and was taken to jail...
While Ned Ryerson did not end up pressing charges, SUX2BU became quite bitter and started drinking heavily, much to his mother's chagrin...
His attitude changed from being a happy go lucky guy, to a more skeptical one...
And the rest, they say, is history...
The Winnipeg Jets take on the Chicago Blackhawks this afternoon at 2:00pm at Canada Life Centre. The Jets are coming off of their third straight loss, a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers, dropping their record to 12-8-2 on the season and 6-4 in their last ten games. The Blackhawks lost their last game, a 5-1 drubbing by the Detroit Red Wings, giving them a 7-14-0 record on the season and are 3-7 in their last ten games. Which Connor will rule the “roost” today: Bedard, Hellebucyk, or Kyle? Can Bones right the ship after taking over the coaching reigns from Coach Arniel, or do things get worse before they get better? Can Declan Chisholm blaze a “trail” today in his 2023-24 season debut and make us forget about Nate Schmidt? Will @Inanna point out more “deficiencies” that the male HFJets posters have if Winnipeg loses again? These questions and more may need some “viagra” before being answered...
