Pros:

Looked way better from a structure standpoint. Weren't running around with their heads cut off in their own end like before

Brad Marchand was unusually angry tonight which apparently caused him to find another gear. His goal was like going into a time machine and watching him in 2016.

Swayman's best game of the season by far. Only 20 shots faced but they weren't softies/gimmies by any means

A new nickname for Joe Sacco may have been found, much to the mods chagrin

Cons

Offense still looks discombobulated as f***. Way too much second guessing/overthinking things if i had to wager a guess. Perfect encapsulation of it was the Pastrnak play where he gets an absolute gift from the far boards right in front of the goalie and instead of ripping it, he tries to dangle, panics and then tries to pass it off. I love you Pasta, but you're a multi time 40 goal guy. Just let your talent do the thinking for you. And the guys who actually were with it (cough Geekie) couldn't buy one.

- Still a lot of junk in the lineup. Realistically probably too much for this team to overcome, but they ain't ring the bell yet.

Swayman played great, can't fault him for the goal surrendered.
Came to play in the 3rd instead of folding after Detroit scored
Found out how to use ignore feature on HF boards

A productive night all in all

Good win Swayman looks himself Vancouver will be the real barometer if this team is decent.

Or just wait for the usual where DeBrusk vanishes for 15-20 games and the cycle repeats itself.

Jake DeBrusk would not be this team's savior.
No one said he would, or even want him back. But just pointing out he played a GG ticks off some people apparently.
