y'know its funny there was a time where the habs had way less talent on their roster, worse shooters, and they'd pepper the net with 40+ shots (to score 1-2 goals). Now we have a team with some legit shooters, real young talent and no one wants to shoot.

In countless ways, hockey is always about balance. MSL really needs to start preaching shooting and things should improve. The possession and zone time we get hasn't been bad in these low shot games, its just the fact that we're doing nothing with our time.

Take for example the play where Slaf used his body to protect the puck high in the zone, the slipped it to Armia (who missed). We should be working those plays all game. set plays to get shots on net. Its the best way to get defenders moving out of position and who knows you might score on a few.

The problem is because were not really in clean possession, we are in possession but still battling for time and space still.

Nothing is being generated because we aren't really creating, we are mostly fighting to keep the puck, which is not real puck possession.

Better that than she doesn't need to wear a mask to look like a horse.

That Habs nation tweet is full of terrible assessments that reek of the worst hfboards posts....

A 20 year old is not "supposed to be our best forward by now"... What kind of delusional expectation is that.

Then on the one hand, he complains about in-regulation deployments that suggest player development opportunities (dzone faceoff responsibilities for young guys meant to be 200ft impact players long term), and on the other complains about OT deployments prioritizing trying to play to our current strengths... That kind of inconsistent criticism comes across as complaining for the sake of it. if people are going to question the approach, which is fair especially in light of how poor the season has been going results-wise, is a little bit of consistency too much to ask?

Slafkovsky only has 1 point vs playoff teams this season, an assist in the 1st game vs Toronto

Dach only has 2 points vs playoff teams this season, assists vs Toronto and NYR

Both have zero even strength points vs playoff teams
