A regulation win by the Habs and losses by Ottawa and Detroit jumps us ahead of them in the standings. That would be hilarious, given how terrible we looked for awhile.

Yeah, if we win and depending on other games, it's possible we could jump from 16th in Eastern Conference to 11th, passing 5 teams. That would take us from 3rd overall to 10th in draft position.

There's a lot of mediocre teams.

Ottawa is having their annual November crash. I really hope they don't end up with one of Misa, Hagens, Martone or Schaefer.

If they never manage to get out of the hole, that doesn't matter. Also, they need to forfeit this year or 2026 1st round pick. Really limits what they can do.

Did Weber spend the whole week in Montreal? If so it's a win, if not we draft top 5
. Sadly, unless Weber miraculously grew a new ankle/foot/knee, and secretly re-signed with the Habs this week, I’d say neither scenario moves the needle much. But a top 5 pick sounds like a win too.

Better be ready after this long layoff and the fact that Vegas played 3 in 4 days.

But I suspect we will come flat and lose 4-2, ending our illustrious 2 game winning streak :(

One team is playing 3 in 4, while the other has had 4 days off.

I think 2 days rest is the best especially when your running in good form.

So you have one team with not enough rest and one team with too much rest. This one might not be a painting.

If they don't come out like a pack of starved wolves, I will seriously have some questions about this team.

Actually, even if they manage to play a decent game I think first 10 minutes or so team is going to be sluggish. Montanbo will have to keep them in the game before they get going. Hopefully.

And Slaf and Guhle... keep your heads up, FFS!
