Updated lineups. They are just a guess on my part with the knowledge from different Blues writers. Steen is out tonight and Strickland says that Russell is in for Redden.

I think we'll see a good effort out of the guys tonight. We don't have our "A" team, but we still have plenty of players that are willing to work hard. I've always like Porter's game, and I was surprised he wasn't picked up by someone else because we just don't have room for him full time. You never question the effort of Porter. Even if he only gets 8 minutes, he's going to make those 8 minutes count.

I have high expectations for a solid win tonight. The Blackhawks run ends, the Blues get back on track. I'm not even worried about the injuries. We're bringing in guys with NHL experience who are hungry. Over the long haul, I'd prefer the skilled players in, but for a short stretch it may be beneficial to get the high intensity workers from the AHL. I think things are going to go the Blues way tonight.

Going to this one and have a good feeling about tonight.

Armstrong had some interesting things to say about the makeup of the current lineup during his interview with Bernie on 101. Even went as far to say that he wants the Blues to play as close to the edge as possible in terms of physicality and being tough to play against.

Reading between the lines you could tell he feels we've been a much easier team to play against this year. It was almost as if he didn't seem to mind that some of the skill was coming out of the lineup.

Expect some fights tonight.

According to Korac:

Perron - Backes - Oshie
Schwartz - Berglund - D'Agostini
Porter - Sobotka - Stewart
Murray - Nichol - Reaves

don`t know where all this optimism comes from?!

sure the D and the goalie situation looked a lot better the last few games and will be the key for this one but with

-our best scorer out

-3 of our best forwards out

-2 guys, AHL guys, in that have to be integrated in the team

-Chicago absolutely confident

we have to face we are the underdogs in this one.
I think we play a high intense game and will keep it close but
it could be too little...hope the boys prove me wrong

Let`s go Blues!

Oh boo hoo. Every team has a few injuries. The Blues can still ice a solid lineup. We are well rested and playing at home...we have a chance to win, no matter who the opponent is. The Blues when they are on their 'A' game can skate with anybody. So is it really that difficult to see where some optimism might come from?

6 of the last 7 of Chicago's games were 1-goal games. They are winning, but it's not like they are laying 7-0 beatdowns and are absolutely unstoppable.

Chicago is a great team, don't get me wrong, but we can hang in there with them. Honestly, I actually like this lineup. We're missing some skill, but getting into an offensive shootout with Chicago probably isn't a great idea. With this lineup we will rely on hard work and physical play.

The bottom 6 of Porter, Sobotka, Stewart, Murray, Nichol, Reaves just needs to bash the **** out of them. Get on them early, supply energy, and hit them hard and try to wear them down. The Blues could have an advantage in a game like that. Hopefully we can ruffle their feathers a bit and get on top of them. Should be a fun one to watch.

Trying to think of a more unlikable person in the NHL than the cab puncher Patrick Kane.

Outside of a few divers up in Vancouver, I can't think of any.

On the opposite side, even though he's a Blackhawk, as a hockey fan, it's always a treat to watch Marian Hossa play. Hopefully we can keep him in check tonight.

oh, seems like you got me wrong...I`m not whining, don`t wanna be a downer nor do I think we should wet our pants because the almighty Hawks are coming and should already focus on the game tomorrow...I just think its pretty clear we are NOT the favourite tonight

Should be a good game. We did decent last year when Steen and Amac were out (not that I wouldn't rather have them in). I'm excited to see what Schwartz does on the 2nd line.

How many games last year did we win without Amac, Steen, and Tarasenko. Those three players do not make this team. BLUES WIN!!
