Nice GDT. Ugh well by the looks of it Bieksa tweaked his groin and if he cannot play on Sunday against the wings then Alberts  is gonna play. I don't think Alberts is that bad but I want to see a new player play. I was looking forward to Barker or Vandermeer.

Wings are a mess right now, definitely not the same team they once were.

Hopefully the Canucks can keep the impressive road trip going.

Did it smell like cigarettes and desolation?

Not sure how to smell desolation, but this was about 10 years ago and before the recession that ravaged Detriot. That being said, the downtown core has always been a bit sketchy, but I still love the city as I grew up across the river from it.

Play 'ard and win da turd (in a row).

Wings don't have nearly as much depth as years past, but we still need to be careful of Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and the like.

I'll re-iterate what I said in the Nashville GDT - let Bieksa rest, no sense in him potentially aggravating what appears to be a (hopefully) minor injury at this point. Also good to keep your depth guys semi-fresh in case they need to be called upon.

Detroit may not be their usual, defensively stingy self sans Lidstrom, but Zetterberg has been on fire. He and Datsyuk, of course, will be huge threats.

Have to think Luongo gets the start. I'd like to see Luongo run a few games in a row. He's still in the zone and you can't sit 5-0-3 with a 1.45GAA, .941 SV%, and 2 shutouts. Plain and simple, Luongo is giving us Vezina caliber goaltending right now. Use it.

Vigneault always goes with the guy coming off the shutout. That, coupled with the fact that there's a day's rest in between, says to me that this is Luongo's start 100%.
