No Jarvis. No Kochetkov. 3rd stringer Spencer Martin likely to get the nod.

All time record against the Hurricanes is not good. Even worse playing in Carolina. 15-37-4

Last win in Carolina was 2022.

Perron returns to the lineup.

Hopefully the start of a character building week of adversity. Opportunity playing a lot of the top teams early while they arent in a groove or have injuries can hopefully set us up well for an easier end of the schedule. Let the growth continue

They will have to play a great game to beat the Canes in their barn.

Excited to see what the Sens can do tonight! Every game feels huge right now. Great theater for the fans seeing if this team will turn the corner and become a solid playoff team, or crash and burn again.

These games are getting exciting. They're right in the thick of it.

Win and everyone here will be jacked.

Lose and it'll be panic city. Doubly so if Ullmark plays and has a bad game.
It's what we have been waiting for.

LOL.

This looks so odd to me! Why choose a 5 game series when hockey is always a 7 game series? LOL

Point taken and I agree...I am living and dying with each game.
They played 5 game series in the 80s I think.

I recall that. I think only the 1st round?

If the hockey God's are on our side today, we can make up some good ground.

Let's go Blues! Let's go Oilers! Let's go Devils! Let's go Kings! Let's go Jets!

They might have tried 2 rounds for a couple years. Those where the years when Winnipeg had an amazing team....but had to go through Edmonton and Calgary to get out of the division.

OTTAWA SENATORS (8-7-1) @ CAROLINA HURRICANES (11-4-0)
TV: SN1, TVAS 2 | Radio: TSN 1200, 94.5 Unique-FM

A high-octane goal-a-palooza? A tight-checking defensive contest between two detailed teams? Tonight's game against the Hurricanes could be anything...

PROJECTED LINEUP

Tkachuk - Norris - Greig
Giroux - Stutzle - Batherson
Amadio - Pinto - Perron*

Cousins - Gaudette - MacEwen

Sanderson* - Zub
Chabot - Jensen
Kleven - Hamonic

Ullmark or Forsberg?

*Notes: Sanderson didn't practice yesterday so could potentially be out. Perron back after missing 11 games. Starting goalie not announced 'til gametime.

*Note also that Gregor is not officially a scratch tonight, but as he didn't practice yesterday I am assuming he will not play.

Honestly feeling pretty optimistic rn given the teams overall play during this last stretch. Hands down the most dominant play I've seen from this group.

Otherwise on a personal note, I'm going to choose to believe this team can succeed this year vs expecting them to lose. Will they falter sometimes? Sure. But if they're going to wake up every game day believing their structured play will win them more games then they lose, then I'm bought in too.

Ottawa seems to play better against big teams, but it all comes down to goaltending and defensive details tonight. The forecheck has to be relentless, they need to keep Carolina in their zone otherwise the Canes will be all over the Sens in their kitchen.

Go Sens Go, expecting a Pinto goal tonight.
